Mt. Ebott I

Clever's Pov

  "Are we there yet Foox?" Bori asked excited.  

  "Almost," he replied keeping his eyes on the road.

  "I'm so excited!" shouted Cboom his eyes landing on the mountain.

  "Why? Cause we might meet hot monsters!?" teased Ace smirking.

  "NO!" he shouted embarrassed.

  I smiled. "Hey you okay Aubri?" I asked.

  She sighed, "Yeah​, I guess... I just don't like this underfail or the 'monsters'."

  Everyone grew quiet. We all knew of her dislike to the thought of monsters. "Hey, Aubri could you at least stop calling the book underfail?" I asked her for probably like the tenth time today.

  She groaned, "FINE!" I smiled and hugged her but let go when she looked out the window.

Music bubbled through the air as a shifting silence slid over us, I leaned onto Aubri, glancing at the book with the words 'Undertale' shimmering on it. That book was the only thing that could cause us to drive up this unsteady mountain in the first place. The said mountain where children supposedly disappeared. That thought had originally terrified us as kids, but at this point, the idea of an escape where there were creatures of unknown was the exact thing we needed.

  I took a deep breath, closing my eyes at the thought that we could actually find something of interest.

  Unfortunately, my peace was short-lived.

  "STOP THE CAR!" cried Bori as Ace's screams filled the air.

  "What the hell is happening?" Cboom yelled. The strange feeling of spinning grew inside me. Aubri and I started screaming as the car spun around. It finally slowed in spinning and came to a sudden stop.

  "Everyone out!" cried Cboom. Everyone rushed to get out. The dizzy feeling of spinning lingered as I stumbled out of the car, after Aubri. A gapping hole sat in front of us, the walls shining due to the sun's rays.

  I gasped for air trying to calm down. We all stared at the hole, almost in shock that the car stopped in time.

  "We're still going!" yelled Ace as she searched for a path.

  "No! No way I'm going!" shouted Fexxeh.

  "Come on..... We came all this way for nothing?" asked Ace.

  "Sure! I'd whether live to see tomorrow than to die trying to climb a mountain." said Aubri.

  "Come on, we should at least look... Right?" said Cboom.

  "Cboom? Even you're willing to?" I asked curious. He was usually against Ace's ideas, especially dumb ones liking climbing over a dangerous gaping hole.

  "Yeah, come on!" He replied.

  "Well I'm going!" said Fexxeh, starting towards the car.

  "Oh come on Foox let's help!" said Bori smiling.

  "No! Not happening!" He snarled.
