Sitting up from my bed, I yawned, thinking of last night's dream.
~~~~~
"Woah. What is this place?" I asked. I was in a huge cavern, looking up into the abyss from the bottom where I stood. It was dark and eerie, but spacious as well.Having no business at the bottom of the cavern, I was trying to find a way out. Not knowing where to go, I decided to go left. Both ways looked like replicas of each other. I chose left because I am left-handed.
I started to walk down the seemingly endless cavern. Walking for hours, I found nothing. I decided to go back and trace my steps.
I walked about a hundred feet when a figure dashed in front of me. Blinded by its speed, I went into a defensive mentality.
"I know you're there. I saw you."
No reply.
"Show yourself! You coward!" I challenged.
Still no answer.
I decided I was hallucinating. Nobody would be this deep underground unless they were insane!
I continued walking. After about a minute, everything seemed normal. No creepy hallucinations.
But then, something caught my eye. Something was struggling! I ran and hid behind a rock to see if I could watch would was happening without being noticed,
When I got a better view of the scene, the sight confused me.
There was a little girl standing alone. There was a bright light shining on her. It seemed to be coming from an invisible source!
There were chains made of weird glowing purple energy. She was tied against the wall. She seemed to be trying to get out of her imprisonment.
I was debating between two options. The first option was to walk away and pretend nothing ever happened. The second option was to go and help the little girl, who looked about eight years of age.
Weighing the options, I was going to choose the first and leave, but then I whispered, "What kind of monster am I?"
I didn't know what had gotten into me! Why would I leave an innocent eight year old stuck in a cavern? She had no hope of getting out alone, so maybe I could help her get out of the cavern.
Finally deciding on the ladder, I started walking slowly to help her.
But while I was walking, something odd was happening. I felt like I was getting smaller every second. By the time I was in front of the little girl, I was an ant to her, she, a giant to me.
Looking up at the now enormous girl, the energy chains disappeared, surprising me. I stumbled backwards and almost fell, but I was able to keep my balance.
But then, the girl spoke. Her loud booming voice hurt my ears, and I winced in pain. "YOU SHALL DIE!"
"What?" I asked in disbelief. I was going to die?
Before I could fully comprehend what was said to me, the girl pounced on my tiny body and held me up to her face with her hands. We were now at eye level of each other.
"DIULUS SHALL DIE! ARAGON SHALL CONQUER!"
I was deafened by her voice. I couldn't stand up anymore.
The girl threw me to the floor of the cavern, and I fainted.
~~~~~
I felt really tired. Who was that girl? Where was that cavern? What was I doing there?
All the questions flooded my head, and I fainted out of dizziness on my bed.
