A shrill piercing sound rings through the air and within seconds there are figures pouring out of what I and many others refer to as “hell.” The technical term for it being “School.” As students scramble around me trying to race to the safety of their carriages home aka “School Buses” I simply stroll through the hallway quietly. That is until I feel an arrow or rather a wad of paper hit me in the back of my head. I turn to see “The Devil” he laughs a malicious laugh as he regards me with a ferocious glare. I regard him evenly and calmly; Me a solitary "White Knight" clever, fierce, and the embodiment of innocence and right, against him "The Devil" with his minions behind him as his “Demon Army.” They slide closer to me menacingly and I take a small step back. Should I go get reinforcements or take the chance and fight the fight myself. They could easily catch me and kill me if I flee so I have no choice but to stand my ground. I stand up confidently despite my fear as all of hell comes towards me with their bows and arrows of insults and their brute strength. I only have my sword of cleverness and my wits.
All I can do is wait for the torment to end as they kick and punch mercilessly bruising the outside of my body while cracking my inside with their barbs and insults. Eventually they grow bored of tormenting me and go in a stream of chaos to find another invisible target who no one would care about. I lay in hallway tending my battle wounds. I clean the blood up and feel my eyes well up. No. You will stay strong don’t give them the satisfaction of seeing they broke you. I blink back the rebellious tears and grit my teeth. I finish cleaning up my books and head out of the building to go to the library before I head home.
I enter the wizards tower which is filled to the brim with books. He looks at me knowingly but with a reassuring smile on his face. I grab my new books and as i am about to leave he stops me. “Xander. Are you okay?” he asks. It’s nice that he cares but I’m fine. I nod in response. “How was your day?” He asks despite knowing that I can’t answer back. I give a thumbs up before pointing to him with a questioning look in my eyes. “I’m doing good.” He answers. “Just a long day at work working my magic.” He chuckles as he cracks his back. I give a small smile of understanding before I head to leave. “One last thing.” I turn back to him. “I’m always here if you need me if anyone bothers you just tell me and I’ll make sure their cursed to the ends of the earth all the teachers will know and treat them accordingly.” He says. I nod and exit the tower.
Suddenly I hear a young girl crying. I immediately run towards the muffled cries. I skid around a corner to see the Devil with his sharp claws tangled in a Princess’ hair. The Princess looks at me desperately her beautiful blue eyes shining with tears. I point at the devil enraged, trying to channel a look of “If you put her down now then you will have some mercy.” The Demon Army takes a fearful step back but a glare from the Devil gets them back into their place. The Devil grins venomously as he yanks the Princess’ hair yet again. The Princess cries out in pain and that’s when I’ve had enough. You can hurt me, a White Knight all you want I’m built for the pain. But you just touched a Princess she doesn’t deserve that! My eyes fill with fire and I run towards them with a silent scream. I draw my fist back and slam it forward with all my strength. I hear a crack and look down to see I’ve knocked a Demon out cold. The rest of the army exchanges fearful looks before they run leaving the Devil by himself. He turns towards me with anger before declaring our war isn’t over. Of course it isn’t. It never will be…
