Ella's mother was visiting tomorrow, Ella had gone to buy some furniture the day before. Her new home was looking nice and dainty. There were flowers in every room, including the bathrooms. Ella's mother loved flowers, she loved smelling them, picking them, buying them, admiring them, basically everything about flowers she loved. Ella wanted to make her home bright and bold for her mother. She had also been doing quite a lot of gardening in the backyard around the outstanding pool. Ella's favourite place in the house was definitely the balcony. The view was amazing, looking out over the land, and the small little french houses. With the small apartments sitting awkwardly in the big city.

It was only a few weeks ago when Ella was sitting in her little house back in New Zealand. Her old house was quite small, not many things packed into it. Ella had a box room, no bigger than a closet. Ella and her mother were quite poor, after her father had past away the year before. Life had been hard for the two, ever since Ella's father had died, they were eating cold, soggy noodles every night. Now Ella had more than she ever wanted, she still thought everyday that she was dreaming.

Ella went to pick her mother up at 5:26 am. Ella's mother walked out of the doors nervously. Ella could tell she was scared. 'But why would she be scared?' Ella thought to herself. Her mother smiled and walked over to her. After a long hug, they walked silently back to the old car. "Why don't you get a new car, Ella? You have the money for one now." Ella's mother said calmly.  " I don't know, I like this car, it has a lot of adventure in it." Ella replied confidently. "Whatever you say".

As Ella pulled up next to her house, she felt extremely proud. Ella's mother walked up the driveway quickly, wanting to explore the house. Ella let her mother open the house. It was when Ella's mother was turning the key in the door, she realised that her mother was her first visitor. She had cleaned the house before her special visitor arrived, because she remembered her mother was crazy about a tidy house. Ella and her mother roamed the house for hours, going in and out of the same rooms, taking pictures and admiring the view. Ella hadn't had much to eat since the plane so she was longing for her mother to cook her favourite food.
