"Cade, stop!" I squealed while running away.

He just laughed in response. I run around a tree, trying to throw him off but it doesn't work. He easily  catches me and pulls us down onto the hard ground.

He hovers above me and smirks, "I like the position we're in."

I slap his arm playfully and shake my head disapprovingly. "Oi, ow. Okay, okay. I get it. Not until marriage." he says, surrendering.

He plops down beside me and opens his arms for me. I snuggle into them immediately, grateful for the warmth they are giving out on this chilly Autumn day. I sigh happily and smile at all of the memories we've shared.

"What's going on in that pretty little head of yours, sweetheart?" Cade asks me.

"Memories," I reply softly. He smiles sweetly.

"I wish we could stay 16 forever."

"Me too." I say softly. He pulls me closer and his hot breath slides down my neck as he whispers a promise to love me forever.

But little did I know, that statement was false.

~Present Day~

"Mom, please stop. No, I haven't found a guy yet. I'm too busy with work. It will happen when it happens. I'm only 22. Relax," I say, annoyed and fed up with my mothers nagging, "Okay, yeah, that's great mom but I really have to go. I have a new couple who will be here soon. Okay. Yep. I love you too. Bye mom."

I groan and slip my phone back into my desk. I rub my temples and hope that Advil will take my pounding headache away. I look around my office and sigh. It's kind of depressing being a wedding planner when you're love life is at an all time low.

"Ms. Thompson? The new couple is here."

"Thank you Missy. Bring them in."

I quickly fix my reddish brown hair and check my makeup before they come in. I put on a fake smile as the door handle turns. A petite and perky blonde saunters into the room, her fiance trailing behind her. The man wore an old baseball cap that shielded his face but I could see some dirty blonde hair sticking out from underneath it. He doesn't look like he wants to be here.

"Hello," she says in a fake southern accent.

Oh honey. You're trying way too hard. It's obvious that she's trying to pretend to be southern for her soon to be husband. That's not what love is about. You're supposed to accept each other for who they are, not pretend to be someone else. Whatever. It's their love life. I have a feeling this marriage won't last long.

"Hello ma'am. Sir." I say, acknowledging his existence. Barbie looks back at him.

"Oh, darling. Take off your cap." she says, borderline scolding him.

He sighs and slowly lifts it off his head. He fixes his hair and those brown eyes raise to meet mine. Both of our eyes widen significantly as our eyes lock. He freezes. All of the memories come flooding back. There stands the man who I never wanted to see again. The man who broke my heart. The man who I am still desperately in love with. And that man, is marrying another woman.
