Modern day fairy (1D fanfic).

Chapter 1

Klara POV:

The sea sparkled in the suns light.

"Hey!" I shout to my friend Julia Ocean who is lying on the beach sand sitting up on her elbows glaring, at the water.

She has a purple, sparkly tail with a golden ribbon like thing wrapping down to her fins.

Yeah... She is a mermaid. So what? I'm a fairy, got kicked out of fairyland about 5-6 years ago? haven't really counted.

They tell me it's because I was 'betraying' the kingdom by making friends with the 'enemy'

Mer-folk, wolfs, vamps, Fay don't normally get along.

I was a bit of and outcast in fairyland for liking mortal things so I didn't really mind being kicked out and having to live with mortals.

But thank the fairy god, i got to keep my powers. Mortals a cool and all but I prefer flying solo to airplanes.

Either way, I got kicked out and I am now living in the USA I don't mind here much it is infact quite nice!

Like seriously they have really good food!!!

Anyway back to the present.

Julia turned her stare at me and glare faded when she saw me

Must have been having trouble with her folk as well. They make fun of her.

Don't know why, she couldn't swim (don't judge) but she was one of the coolest people/mermaid ever!!!!

She had glasses, dark brown hair and eyes, she wore a glee t-shirt that I think is water proof but not to sure cause truthfully I've never seen her in the water. Cause you know she can't swim.

She's A Filipino mermaid.

"Hay Klara!" Julia replied. " How are you?"

"Good you?"

"Alright"

"What have the merbitches been up to this time?"

"Usual"

"ok then. Hurry up now!, we need to get to school" I said

"Urghhh!!!!! I don't want to!!! Can't I just lie here on this beach!" She groaned.

"No, come on! Your sounding like a mortal! Plus we need to get to school before Ginny and Lillian do or they'll take the best spots in the library!" I told her

Her eyes widen.

"Oh shit! We better go then!"

She start doing a strange dance moving from side to side. oh crap, mermaid dance. I looked away as a blinding light lit over her purple tail when the light faded she had legs. She wore a pair of purple jeans the same shade as her tail and golden, sparkly sneakers and her hair was in a braid, as usual.

There's another reason she gets teased, Mer-folk usually don't use there legs as often as she does.

"Ok! Lets go then!" she said, jumping up and walk up the beach.

Ginny POV:

Yes!!!! We finally did it! My best friend Lillian Drip and I, Ginny Horan have finally bet Julia and Klara to school!!! Yay know we can sit on the best seats in here!!!

I raced Lillian to the place in the Library we always sit, she of course being a vampire won she used her lightning speed to race to the her favourite seat near the window and sat down before I could even take a step inside the library.

"Hay!" I shouted!

"Hays what cows eat" she replied. The sun was shining through the window and reflecting of her pale skin like it was encrusted with one thousand diamonds. Dispute this you could still see the freckles sprinkled across her pale face, her strawberry blond hair was pulled into a ponytail, her eyes were still green and set behind glasses. There was something wrong with the vampire that bit her 19 years ago on her 17th birthday, so his venom only did like the half job of making her a vampire. She wore a white button up shirt with a black collar and blue jeans.

"Aren't you supposed to stay at home when the suns out?" I asked.

"We should I? I'm not a normal vampire, plus who doesn't like sparkles?" She asked

"Somebody who clearly has something wrong with them" came a quite familiar voice from behind me.

"Klara! Julia!" Lillian shouted forgetting she was in the library.

"Shhh" I told her turning around to see my friends.

Julia Ocean, 19 at the moment stood there in her favorite Glee t-shirt and was in her purple jeans and golden sneakers.

Klara Rose stood next to her, like me she was soon turning 19, she had dirty blonde hair and grey-blue eyes. She wore a grey shirt with a cheetah and denim shorts and red flats. She also had a pair of glowing wings sprouting from her back. They were like dragonfly wings but pointed at the end a little like tinkerbell's wings, they had some light silver patterns around them, they were transparent, also had a slight iridescent shimer to them. They appeared to be glowing.

Klara hadn't appeared to notice this.

"You've got your wings out" I told her before turning back to my magazine.

Me? I, Ginny Horan have blue eyes and long blond hair, I'm really white even though I am infact a werewolf, like a 'Twilight' like werewolf but cooler of course.

"Oh I didn't notice, weird" Klara said looking at her wings as if she just noticed they were there. She closed he eyes tight and concentrated, her wings faded so they were harder to spot but not so the disappeared completely.

She look a little exhausted doing this, that's unusual.

She looked at her wings and sighed she shock them bringing them back to plane view.

"I see what it is later" Klara spoke worriedly "I want to read now"

With that she sat down nexted to Lillian, toke out her favourite book 'The Hunger Games' out if her bag and began to read, her wings still in full view.

Julia signed and sat down Next to me and read her 'Creme' magazine, Lillian and I did the same.

Just then a girl walked in she had blonde hair and the same glowing wings as Klara.

I don't know how Julia got the magazine she just did. :)
