On August 5, YG Entertainment released a promotional image that revealed the debut song title, "Boombayah". "Boombayah" was produced by Teddy Park, and written by Teddy Park and Bekuh Boom. The music video was directed by Seo Hyun Seung who also directed "I Am the Best" by 2NE1 and "Fantastic Baby" by Big Bang. The second title track to be announced was "Whistle", which was produced by Teddy Park and Future Bounce while the lyrics were written by Teddy Park and Bekuh Boom.
