The two talked, but the girl never once revealed her name. The boy wouldn't dare to ask, he didn't expect much from anyone. She listened as the boy spilled out everything about him. She stayed quiet as he spoke quietly, only nodding occasionally when it seemed necessary.
She paid attention as he told her about his dreams and what he wanted to do. She saw the look in his eyes as she learned that he used to want to be a rapper, and he wanted to be able to share his music with the world. But his parents always argued against it - when they were alive, of course.
She remembered how motivated he used to be towards his dream. Now, it seemed like he would never do what he was obviously meant to do.
They held their conversation until the sky was stained in hues of purple and yellow.
The sun was rising, and unlike their last interaction, this wouldn't end here.
As people started filing in their previously empty sidewalk and stared at the two outcasts, the boy stood up and grabbed the girl's hand. He pulled her into the nearest alleyway. It caught the attention of other but neither of them cared at the moment.
