The Dead End

"Would you guys shut up already!?"In my opinion, having smaller siblings is probably the worst.Also don't believe your parents when they tell you that it would be a good idea to move the whole family into a new house.For all you know it could be a trap to actually get you to socialize! Now im stuck in a car filled with three screaming children and two grownups who won't listen to me, all because I had agreed.

"Dude, move out of the way, I wanna see the new house!"And that would be the thirteen year old girl who's sire is the devil, Denise.As i had 'finally' moved out of the way for the little goblins to pass by, I realized just how big our driveway actually was.I grabbed my laptop and my phone with my headphones already connected and started to walk up to the front porch.

"Waoh, Arely you've got to see inside!"Aubrey said while standing just inside the doorway.Now me and Aubrey get along great.It is only estimated that she was the one who suggested waiting for me.She is also thirteen years old but tends to have a bit more common sense than the the other two.I take a moment to look up and see just how big the new house actually is.As im heading inside I see what appears to be fingerprints on the outside window of the basement.I brush it off as a reflection from the sun.

"Come on Arely, your taking foreveeerrr!"Oh great! Looks like the worst of the trio has finally lost his patience.Tyler is,and I swear he is, the son of his father.Both are greatly annoying and always in everybody's business.Now tyler, even though he's only nine years old is also like his father in the temper and impatience category.I love tyler as well as the other two ugly fish but there are times when I wish I didn't have to deal with them all at once, but being the oldest I don't have much of a choice.

Entering the house completely with the kids behind me, I stop and gasp loudly"OMG guys look its a staircase!"I hear them stop yelling as soon as they process my words and start smacking me."Haha, oh come on! You know that was funny"I say while starting to climb the stairs."That was dumb! I thought you had really seen something."Denise says while holding onto tyler."Yeah I mean this house is really creepy"Tyler says agreeing with Denise.

I wonder what my parents were thinking when they said it was a "perfect family house".This seems more like a house of horrors.At least I can have the biggest room that includes a balcony and a bathroom.Finally reaching the top of the stairs I move to the side to avoid stepping on this old controller.It looked as if it would still work so i picked it up and put it on one of the many small tables along the hallway.Looking to the side I see our rooms all the way towards the end of the corridor. Only with the grownups room on my other side.

"Alright you worms, my rooms the biggest!"Running past them,I reach the last one and quickly close the door.I hear them all run to different rooms while yelling about me having a head start.Quickly putting my stuff on the ground i start to look around.It looked as if the person who used to sleep in here just up and left.Everything was still there, including the way the room was originally designed.I went up to the closet and peeked inside, looking up i pulled on the pull string.Once the light was on I noticed that there was in indent in the wall, as if there had been someone hitting it from the other side.

Getting out of the closet,I realized that I couldn't hear the kids anymore, so I went to check on them."Hey, Denise?Aubrey?Tyler?Where are you?"I close the door behind me as I step out of my new room,looking to their rooms I realize that all the doors were closed except for the first one.As I started walking towards it I tried to listen for any of there voices, but still couldn't hear anything.As I reached the door, I saw Aubrey's stuff outside,so I figured this was her room.Picking her stuff up I open the door and go to her bed to put it there.Looking up I notice that this room also has everything from the previous owner.Looking to the side,there's an open door.Thinking that its the closet I start walking towards it.

Opening the door I come to a dead end.I close and open the door a couple more times,but nothing seems to change.Taking a step back I hear something click and all of a sudden what used to be a wall instead of a door, is now a dark hall."How strange" I whispered to myself as I look around the doorway. Maybe this is where the kids are at? If I die for this, I'll come back to haunt them.Stepping fully inside I hear the wall come back behind me and a row of lights turn on.

Walking forwards I start to think about what I'm going to do to them as soon as I find them."Maybe I'll threaten them into doing my chores for a month instead of telling mom?What if they aren't even here? How will I get out?"All of a sudden I'm ripped away from my thinking by the sound of laughter."Ah so you ARE here."Starting to run towards the sound I hear footsteps above me.Slowing down I look up and wait to see if I would hear it again.Hearing nothing I continue, but at a slower pace.

Now thinking about it I haven't heard anything else aside from the laughter and footsteps.What part of the house am I? Am I even in the house anymore? So many confusing questions and not enough answers, or at all.Maybe I should just focus on finding them, that way I could get out of here faster."Ahhh!" Jumping I look ahead of me towards where the scream came from.I stood there in shock for about a minute until it kicked in that it could be one of my siblings. Sprinting down the hall I turn right and crash into a wall. "No No No!!" This can't be."Let me out! Aubrey! Denise! Tyler?" Come on, maybe there's something to press or a handle?Looking around I see nothing. "Ugh this is hopeless"Hopefully someone finds me.Sliding down against the wall I start to cry.
