The sound of fresh crispy autumn leaves crunching beneath my naked feet, with every step I take. the feeling of cold gust of wind kissing my tear stained cheeks, reminding me of the warm fire place at home. Well, what I used to call home.
Every person should have a home.
Place of comfort in a time of need. Place full of memories. The place of laughter, joy, sadness and remembrance.
I once had a home, like any normal person. Until many things changed and those many thing led me to the streets. Poverty. Isolation.
All I had for a reminder of all the tragedies that took place was my blanket. The same blanket that covered me when I had nightmares and I use to run to my parents for safety. The same blanket that I still have that protects me from those sinister nightmares.
I was homeless.
