She died in the womb. She was never suppose to be alive, To be born. Aurora had become a miscarriage at 8 months due to a curse bestowed on her mother by her sister, Marise the Goddess of Ice as she had finally done away with her.
"You may have killed me but I killed Aurora." Since Marise left the physical world she was sent to Purgatory and because of the curse, Aurora went with her. Instead of Aurora's mom, Kalia the Goddess of Fire being pregnant with her, Marise had carried her for the last month and gave birth to her as her own. Marise already had one child, Talia who had ice and snow bending powers. Even though they had contrasting powers, Talia and Aurora were the best of friends and did everything together. Both girls didn't know about Aurora's horrid past until they got into a major disagreement with Marise. Aurora out of aggression, possessed her own "mother", made her kill herself then, burned her and scattered the ashes.
