(Author's Note)- I know I should be doing my requests right now, but I needed to celebrate something special! Sota Hanamura is now 26 years old! For his birthday I wanted to do something special so here is a Birthday themed Fanfiction with the Birthday Boy! This one isn't going to be a reader insert, it's just going to be the Da-iCE Boys :)
"More balloons!" One shouted
"Confetti? Where is the confetti?" Another asked
It was complete chaos in the room. Men were flying every which way, balloons were being hastily thrown onto the walls and while others scrambled around. There was a total of four men in the room.
"Taiki-men, don't forget the Natto in the fridge" Yudai reminded as he blew up more balloons. It had taken him hours the day before to prepare the Natto, not to mention the frustration of trying to figure out how to ferment the beans. Nobody told him how important it was to keep the temperature at 40. Apparently, if you cook them at a temperature lower than 38, it does not ferment right. Not a single person told him this, which resulted in an hour wasted.
Taiki nodded and put down the red streamer he had been holding onto for quite some time. He just could not decide on what to do with them. He could not decide between tacking them on the wall or hanging them on the ceiling. He then finally decided to let Toru handle it. Toru was the one who suggested this chaos. It only took two words for Toru to leap into action, 'Surprise Party'. Although Taiki offered to take charge, Toru insisted he could do it. Toru had been planning this for a few days now, obviously, he was not a good planner.
"Haya-chan, the cake is fine. Just-no stop! Stop!" Toru yelled out, raising his hands and dashing over to where Hayate stood. They had ordered a strawberry shortcake for Sota, a nice small one decorated with even more strawberries. "The strawberries look fine, stop trying to change them." He said again, this time grabbing the cake from Hayate's hands
Hayate pouted, "But Toru-sensei, the strawberries aren't even! I need to fix it!" He said and tried to grab it away from Toru, but Toru thought quickly and raised it above his head causing Hayate to jump up. Poor little Hayate couldn't even reach it, no matter how high he jumped. It wasn't fair! "Please, Toru-sensei!" He pleaded, but Toru put it on the top of the fridge.
"No Hayate, you're going to ruin it. And that's the last one the store had" he said with finality. "Yudai! How are the ball-"
POP!!!
They all screamed and Hayate fell to the floor "Yudai!!" He cried out "Yudai you're blowing them up too big!!" He said as he rose to his feet. "Here, let Taiki blow them up. Someone who knows's what they're doing" He laughed. The rest of them laughed along with Hayate. It was these moments they loved the most. Sure, performing on stage with each other were memorable moments, but it was when they were all together just hanging out that they cherished. They were able to let their hair down. It was at these times where they didn't have to look at a certain way for the press. They loved it.
Taiki shook his head as he finished laughing at Hayate, "Im not blowing those up. Besides, there are enough" He said as he surveyed the room. The room looked really nice. There were Yellow Balloons all over the walls, they had confetti here and there. "Okay, now all we need to do is-"
"He's coming!!!" Toru cried out "Everyone! Places!!" He said as he ducked behind the couch. The rest of them bolted away and looked around for a place to hide. Taiki quickly remembered about the lights and he ran to turn it off. He ducked back in his hiding spot and they waited.
And waited.. and waited....
"SURPRISEE!!!!!!!" Thet all shouted and jumped out at once.
Sota let out a loud screech as he clutched his bag so tightly, he thought it would be crushed, along with all the contents.
"Happy birthday!!!" They all shouted and ran over to him, engulfing him in a group hug.
"Ah ha! Thank you guys!" Sota managed to say, even though his lungs were being crushed beyond repair, "Wow, you guys did all of this for me?" He asked when they let go of him.
Toru nodded "Well it was my idea so-"
"Hey hey hey!" Taiki interrupted "This was my idea, you just stole it," He said jokingly.
Yudai laughed "Okay okay men.Enough chit chat. Let's eat!" He said with flourish as he took the bowl of Natto in his hands
Sota gasped "Yudai! Did you make that?" He asked in awe.
Yudai nodded "Yes yes! I made it all by myself without any trouble" he lied. Let Sota believe he could cook Natto without trouble. Yudai set the bowl down on the table beside the tower of smaller bowls.
Sota smiled and took a bowl "It better not be poisoned" he laughed as he filled his bowl with Natto while the other members did likewise.
Once everyone had been seated and drinks had been poured all around, Toru lifted his glass "To Sota!" He toasted.
"To Sota!" The rest of them toasted and they all clinked glasses.
Sota smiled and looked around "No presents" he teased, not caring either way. This was enough of a gift.
Everyone, except for Hayate, froze. The presents! They had forgotten all about it. They frantically looked around at each other, each one expecting the other to have the gifts.
Hayate let out a smirk and stood up "Because I love you the most, I'll give you the first gift" he said, knowing the rest of them had completely and utterly forgotten. He reached into his bag and pulled out a smaller bag. "For you" he said as he handed it to Sota.
Taiki also stood up and faced Sota, "Your gift is in the car. I'll go get it" he said and bolted away. Once he got outside he didn't run to the car, but to the nearest store. There was bound to be something there that Sota would like.
Sota smiled and looked down at the little gift bag in his hands. It had some weight to it. He then opened the bag and took out a plush toy. It was a very familiar yellow creature. "Ah ha! I caught a Pikachu!!" He laughed and held it in his hands. "Thank you Haya-chan!" He yelled out and pulled Hayate into a tight hug.
Hayate laughed and hugged him back "Another pokemon for your pokedex" Once he pulled away, Hayate glanced around "Funny, Taiki-men isn't back yet." He said. No doubt he was frantically trying to find a gift for the second youngest member.
Not a moment after he said that, Taiki came in with a fully wrapped box in his arms. "This is from all of us" he said as he dropped it on the table
Sota smiled and he studied the wrapped box. It was about a foot high and a foot wide. He quickly tore off the wrapping paper and gasped. A limited edition Iron Man mask? He simply sat there and stared at the gift. "Taiki..." He finally managed to say "This is incredible!! Thank you! And to you Toru, and Yudai" he smiled.
Toru nodded "Now, let's eat some cake!" He announced and reached to the top of the fridge where he had put the cake. Yudai also stood up and began his search for the candles. Once the cake had been set on the table and the candles had been placed and lit, everyone stood around and they all glanced over at each other.
"Happy Birthday to you" Taiki began
"Happy birthday to you" Yudai followed
"Happy birthday dear" Hayate sang quietly
"Murata" Toru laughed
"Happy birthday to you" they all finished.
