Haru x Rin

Rin zipped his bag closed. He was excited to sleep over at Haru's place with the rest of the Iwatobi team. Since making up with them, he hadn't had the chance to really spend time with them. He took a quick look in the mirror, running his fingers through his red hair.

"Matsuka Senpai?"

Rin turned around to see Nitori in the doorway of their dorm.

"Where are you going? What's that bag for?" he asked, looking at Rin with big eyes.

"I'm going to Haru's. I'll be back later tomorrow." Rin strode past the boy, patting his shoulder as he went. "Seeya."

"Bye.." Nitori managed. Apparently he still wasn't used to the idea of Haru and Rin being friends.

I can't wait to see Haru, he thought. Ugh, I sound like my sister. Rin had liked Haru since they met in elementary school. Though, he hadn't even the courage to admit that to himself, let alone to Haru. His subconscious was constantly obsessing over Haru while his conscious tried to think about other things. It was like hiding a dark secret from absolutely everybody, and it was frustrating. When he first started having feelings for Haru, he thought it was fleeting, and barely payed any attention to them. However, over the years, his liking to the boy grew. And grew. And grew.

Snapping him out of his thoughts, a couple of girls from his school walked past him. They were giggling and looking at him weird. Obviously a crush. He almost felt bad for them; he was probably the gayest person alive.

Rin arrived at Haru's door, six minutes and thirty seconds early. He reached to ring the doorbell, but before he could, Haru slid the door open.

"Hey Rin. Come in," he greeted in his usual monotone voice.

Rin grinned. "Anyone else here yet?" He stepped into the hall, swiftly removing his shoes.

Haru closed the door. "Nope." He glanced out the window with worry. "The sky's all cloudy. Looks like rain, doesn't it?"

Rin hadn't noticed on his walk over, but the sky had hazed over, looking darker than it should be at this time. "Yeah, it does." After turning away from the glass, Rin stepped into Haru's living room. Haru followed him.

"How's training going?" Haru inquired. He sank into his couch and leaned back.

"It's fine. I've gotten my 100 time down," Rin answered. He couldn't add much more. Just being alone with Haru made him extremely nervous, even though he enjoyed it. He sat on the other end of the couch. "And you?"

"Swimming's been fun, I guess. But Gou is really strict on us."

Rin chuckled. "Sorry about that."

Outside, the sky finally opened. Rain beat down on the windows and on the roof of the house. A bolt of lightning joined the chaos and danced across the heavens, making a bang that made both Haru and Rin jump.

"Wow," Haru commented as he shot of the couch and to the window. "That's a lot of rain. I hope Nagisa, Makato, and Rei can get here easily."

"Were they waking here?" Rin creamed his neck to see the window.

"Last I checked, yeah. They were all together, too." In Haru's pocket, a phone chirped. He looked at the screen. "Hm. Nagisa says they took shelter in a convenient store and that they'll come when the rain lets up."

"Oh." Shit. He was here alone with Haru. He would probably mess something up. Shit.

"Well, at least they're okay." Haru sat back down and sighed. Then he smirked. "So, Rin. Is there anyone you like?"

"What?!" Rin looked at him. Had he read his mind?

"There must be someone."

"Oh! Well, uh...I guess there is one." Rin panicked, fiddling with his shirt.

"Yeah, I figured. So, who?" Haru looked at Rin in the eyes intensely.

"Um. I'm not really sure if they'll ever see me as more than a friend..." Rin swallowed and let a small smile show in his lips. "I don't know, but-"

"You're so kawaii, Rin," Haru noted out off the blue.

"Excuse me?!"

"Yeah. It's like watching extreme moe anime."

"Wha-!"

That's when Haru leaned over the cushions and kissed him. Kissed him. Rin felt Haru wrap his hands around his head, combing through his hair and caressing his neck. It took a while for Rin to respond. After his shock dissolved and morphed into heat, he kissed back. The extreme heat generated from the kiss was almost unbearable. It tingled back and forth between the two as their tongues danced in sync. Rin put his arms around Haru's waist and pulled him closer, so close that he could feel Haru's chest drumming with excitement.

When the kiss ended at last and the two pulled away just enough to take a breath, Rin dug his face into Haru's shoulder.

"The crush was me, wasn't it?" Haru joked as he returned the embrace.

Rin just laughed. His inner fanboy lit up and went insane.
