Everyone came over , and I mean EVERYONE. even ones I couldn't stand. Even his "girlfriend" I just want to punch her so hard. He was heartbroken, then she just came and fixed it all.

"PEYTON"

"Huh"

"What are you doing"

I just realized that my fist was in a wall.

"OUCH!!"

Then James walked in. He is so gorgeous. When his eyes met mine I felt like I was in heaven. He walked over to me and hugged me really tight and said he was glad I was okay. I guess it must have been a bad accident.

James looked up to see Jess kissing my brother's? friend Logan. I turned around and James ran off upstairs. I HAD to go find him. I walked upstairs and heard sobs coming from my room.

"James? Are you in here?"

I saw James face down on my bed crying. I went over and rubbed his back.

"James I-I'm--"

"Don't be sorry Peyt. It's not your fault.

"I know but I feel horrible"

"I do too. I really loved her and I thought she loved me but I guess not."

James loved her and that broke my heart. A sharp pain surged through my stomach. Now was the time to tell him how I felt. I had finally mustered up the courage to tell him that I loved him.

"Hey Peyt?"

"Yeah J?"

"Do you think you could give me Jamie's number?"

That feeling came back again my stomach. I felt like I was going to lay down and die.

"Sure. You know she's downstairs right?"

"SHE IS?? You know I've wanted to ask her out after me and Jess broke up."

"Well then go get her!"

THANK GOD FOR THOSE ACTING LESSONS! James left and I fell out on my bed and just cried as silently as possible. Of course James would like her. Short, skinny, blonde. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time. Like he would ever like-let alone love me. I can't wait for this party to be over.

*2 hours later*

James walked in. Thank god the tears were finally gone.

"Have you been up here this whole time?"

"Yeah. I don't really like the whole party aspect."

"I'm gonna get going. Bye Peyt"

"Bye"
