Chapter 1

It´s Friday!

Yeah, it's Friday, last day of school before winter break. Today it's going to be a great day, I can feel it. I can't wait to go to school and see my friends before I go to the moonstone pack for the party. It is one of the biggest packs in the USA next to ours of course. I'm going because the party is only for alpha's and their families so I was invited for the first time, yess!! Isn't that awesome?!?! It's like all my dreams coming true, you see, I love parties, you have food, music, what else can you ask for?!

I walk to the bathroom and started undressing myself. I turn on the shower and step in to the warm water. I rub my blonde hair with my favorite strawberry scented shampoo and waited for the bubbles to rise. I wash it off and rub again but this time with my conditioner. I grab my body wash and pour it in my hands. I spread it all over my body and after that I wash it off until I feel completely clean. I get out off the shower and quickly grab one of my turquoise towels to dry every single water drop on my body. I use another towel for wrapping my hair and wait for it to dry. Meanwhile, I walk to my closet to get my clothes.

What should I wear today? I mean, it has to be pretty cool since it's the last day of school. I decide to go with some black leggings with a purple long sleeve t-shirt and a Aztec cardigan. I put my beige belt on and for shoes I want to wear my gray platform high heel boots. When I am satisfied with my outfit I go back into the bathroom and grab my wand. I plug it in and wait till it heats long enough to curl my hair. When finish I put on some makeup. Since I want a natural look I only use foundation, mascara, lipgloss, and a bit of blush.

I go downstairs to see my mom and dad having breakfast, they seem so adorable together... We are a happy family although I don't have any siblings. "Hey, honey you seem happy today, what happened" I smile at her. "Nothing, I am just excited with this trip and everything" I open the fridge and grab some milk, I pour it on the glass and take a gulp. "Well, bye, I don't want to be late today" "Bye, are you riding to school today or do you want me to take you?" You see my dad wants me to be his little girl forever and, although I would love too, I got a life going on and I want to be independent "Don't worry, I'll use my bike today, see you guys later" I kissed them goodbye and walk to the garage to get my new purple bike.

I open the door and start getting on the bike when I hear shouts from behind me. "Wait for me Becca, I'm coming" I turn around to see my crazy ass girl friend Jessie, she is super cute, a little clumsy but a nice girl. She is one year older than me but because of her crazy attitude, people believe I am totally older.

"Hi Jess, how are you doing today?" "Wonderful, I still can't believe it's the last day of freaking school! Can you believe that!!" " Haha, nop I can't and you are forgetting that I'm going to the alphas party today remember?" "OMG, you are so lucky who knows, maybe you could find your mate" Oh god, here we go again, you know Jessie is a total lover she thinks everything is a fairy tale and she believes that we are going to found our mates and have our happy ever after ending. In my case, I don't believe in that kind of stuff, I think you really have to work to get someone to like you, even if you have a bond. That doesn't mean I don't want my mate, it just that I'm not ready to find him just yet, I prefer to be older. "How many times do I have to tell you Jess that I don't want my mate yet" "I know, I know it's just that you need to understand that you are going to find him sooner or later but okey, I won't talk about it any more". After that we continue talking about random stuff such as monkeys, flowers, monkeys with flowers, etc. See, told you we were weird. Finally we reach to our school. We are in eight grade but after today we will be ninth graders!

I lock my bike next to Jessie's bike and grab my backpack with all my school stuff. Walking inside you couldn't see so many people since we arrived early. "Hey, I have to give Ms. Ross a paper before class starts" "Ok, I'm staying in the cafeteria till it's time for class" " Well, bye, see you at break" "Bye" and with that she took off. I went to the cafeteria and look for my usual sit but first I bought a bagel. Since I had nothing to do, I took my time to admire all the people around me, they all seem happy, some of them were shouting, others wait in the cafeteria alone or with others usually chatting, girls flirting, couples eating each others faces, you know, the usual. I really like school, mostly because of my friends but also I enjoy SOME classes.

Suddenly, I find Mila, another very good friend of mine. "Mila" I shout at her. She turns around and when she sees me, she starts running towards me. "Hey, Becca, do you saw Nick" You could see her cheeks blushing when she named him. "The newbie?" "Yes, do you saw him" "Why?" A smile coming into my mouth. "Emm, well, yesterday we find we were mates" "OMG, that's awesome, good luck" "Haha, thanks" "Oh, Mila, you better turn around" She looks me with the weird face and slowly turns around to find Nick! She immediately blushes, again! "Hi Nick" "Hi babe" They start staring at each other with faces screaming LOVE. "Okey, I better be going to class" They didn't even looked at me but it was for the best, that scene was turning really awkward for me.
