She is still by my side..and it's been three days. I don't know why, I didn't ask her to stay. but I'm not complaining, having her next to me is pretty damn great. "we have your x-rays." the doctor says calmly.
I exhale, trying not to be so anxious. "it looks to me like its more than just a broken ankle." the doctor says as he looks down at the clipboard. lotus reaches for my hand, taking it between her two palms. I smile at her bittersweetly.
"you have broken you right ankle, there's also fractures in the knee-several different places-and it looks like you punctured a vein..maybe when you fell? you must've taken a pretty bad fall." he says.
"yeah, he was unconscious for about an hour." lotus comments.
"what!? really!?" I say, completely unaware.
"so does this m-mean I won't be able to skate?" I say.
"I'm afraid so." the doctor says, lotus looks at me with sadness.
