Hi, my name is Alex and i'm a 21 years old who loves getting into trouble. A couple years ago i lost my mom to cancer and my younger to drugs. After that i went off the deep end and did everything and anything that i wanted to do not caring who got hurt in the process. But this year would of have to been the worst year because Donald Trump became president and now all women except pregnant ones have to train for the U.S Military for one year. I got a letter in the mail saying that i was to get ready and leave for basic training in 3 months and of course, i did no such thing. I went to parties and got drunk and arrested 5 times in the past 3 months. So 3 days before i was to leave for basic training two men came knocking on my door and i had to sign some papers and they gave me the run down on what it will be like and all the rules and what to bring and what not to bring. Then they left, i got my lazy ass of the couch and started packing for basic, my cat was going to be staying with my friend who is pregnant with twins while I'm gone for a whole year. So after i packed up my things, i went to a bar and had a couple drinks. I'm thinking to myself that I'm gonna miss doing whatever the hell i want. But maybe if i fuck up enough maybe they will just kick me out. Anyways i can always hope for the worst to happen. I spent the last couple days spending time with my cat. The day before I left i took my cat to my friends house and said a few words then went back to my place to sleep for the rest of the day.
I woke up at 5 a.m to get ready to leave and meet at the bus station, and at 5:30 a.m the van pulled up and i got in van, i was the only one in the van, about 10 minutes later i was at the bus station and there i saw two rows of military people standing in the straight line they almost looked like statues. As i was getting out of the van, i tripped on the stairs and i fell face first on the pavement, i said "Damn it all, that fucking hurt. I got up and gathered my suitcase. This guy in military uniform comes up to and says "Name please." I say "Alex Harrison." And hand him my paperwork. He tells me to get on the big bus and that the bus will leave at exactly at 6:30 a.m. I make my way towards the bus and find a empty seat and out on my music to block out everyone that was talking. The bus started up and then we left the station. I looked out of my window and a tear fell down my eyes. I told myself that i will not cry. So i focused on music and drifted off to sleep. A couple hours later hear someone saying that we're at Fort Jackson, SC. I woke up and looked out the window and saw nothing but fences, training grounds and groups of people training to be soldiers. The bus stopped then everyone got off the bus to meet our drill Sargent for the next year.
It felt like it was hours before our Drill Sargent came but really was only 30 minutes before he came and walked towards us. Everyone gasped when they saw who our Drill Sargent was, I heard some people hoping and praying that they wouldn't get one particular Drill Sargent but ignored it. He came up to the bus driver and said "Is this all of them for this group?" The bus driver said "Yes. Keep an eye out for the girl with Black hair, her name is Alex and from what i was told she loved defying orders and breaking rules." And with that he left. The drill Sargent yelled
"ATTENTION! My name is Drill Sargent Brian, you will only call me Drill Sargent and nothing else. There is just one rule, follow my orders and you might make it through this training, if you fail to follow my orders you will suffer the consequences and i promise you it won't be anything like how your parents punished you. Now grab your shit and follow me." I couldn't help but not to laugh. He turned around and saw me laughing. He stopped everyone that was walking and came straight towards me and got up in my face and said "Whats so funny bitch? You think this a a joke or some kind of game?" I looked up at him and said "Actually yes i do, Sir." He grabbed my shirt and said "I'm gonna have fun with you." For the first time in a long time, i had fear in my eyes as i didn't know what was going to happen to me.
