Sirena the Siren, the half Saxon daughter of the Earl Lagartha the shield-maiden and King Ecbert of Wessex was left in the East when her mother chose to fled back to the north, leaving her bastard child to the animals.
However, unknown to Lagartha their was one Viking who saw the potential within the small child, or maybe he just wanted to fill the gaping hole within his heart and that pushed his decision to take her and raise her as his own flesh and blood.
It wasn't until years later when called to sail to uncharted waters does she meet the woman who left her for dead and the half brother known as Ironside. However the family reunion and its drama is nothing compared to what happens when the daughter of Lagartha falls in love.
