It was a relatively cold day in Texas, around 62 degrees Fahrenheit. Bailey was laying on his bed doing what he does best... nothing. He was dozing off to the sound of his little brothers feet stomping in the hallway and the occasional high-pitched squeal from one of them. Right as he was about to fall asleep he hears his phone vibrate and picks it up to see who dared to disturb his busy evening. It was his good friend Zack, Zack was a goofy kid who played around a lot but was still kind of funny. 'Hey man, what're you doing' Zack said. 'Nothing really... hbu' Bailey replied. 'I'm bored and have no one else to text so I decided to text you.' Zack said. "God he's such a smart ass" Bailey thought to himself. 'Lucky me' Bailey replied. 'Lol. Well what are your plans for today?' Zack said. Bailey thought about his plans for the day and realized how boring his life was. 'I'm not doing anything today, wby?'. 'I'm just hanging out at the house lol' zack replied. 'Looks like we both have no life lol' bailey replied with a grin on his face. 'Yeah, we need girlfriends lol.' Zack said. 'Yeah...' Bailey said. Bailey had tried to get a girlfriend multiple times before but had no luck, he was just too... awkward for a girl to like him. 'Aren't you friends with that girl named Brooke?' Bailey said. 'Yeah, why?' Zack replied. 'Idk... i think she's kinda pretty tbh.' Bailey said. 'I'll give her your number and have her text you, but she probably won't text until in the morning because she has a curfew.' Zack replied. Bailey had butterflies in his stomach and he couldn't tell if he was nervous or excited. 'Really! That's awesome,Thank You!' Bailey said. 'You're welcome man, I got you.' Zack replied.

Bailey went to bed that night nervous but also very excited to talk to Brooke the next day. then he thought "what if she doesn't text me? Who am I kidding? Why would she want to text me, she is way out of my league!" Bailey was now more nervous than anything and was almost certain he wouldn't get a text the next day.
