Wanted.

Desired.

Needed.

Everything someone else had.

A habit that had not been curved when he was a young boy,so he grew up with it;like a childhood friend.

He had beautiful eyes, when I met him, they were the most royal of greens.

Thus I believe the phrase,''green with envy'' was meant for him.

Without question,he had grown up to  be a conniving man; scheming to get whatever he envied.

And if he couldn't have it,you couldn't either.

I remember the first day I step foot before him,he had stared at me,with those piercing green eyes and walked over.

''You're really pretty you know,'' he drawled out, smirking and staring me straight in eye.

And I blushed,a bright red stole into my cheeks and a shy smile.

''Your name?'' he asked as he took my palm in his.

I remember he was a real charmer,a sickly sweet way with his words and so i told him as I was shuffled away by a friend.

And so our interactions carried on, a cute compliment was thrown my way on the daily and I thoroughly enjoyed catching his eye.

But when I caught another eye;creamy brown and full of love, his green one's lit up with envy.

Eventually, brown eyes and I became closer, my brown eyed beau was a boy of innocent beauty, with holding the best intentions. Green eyes had faded into a small memory but his eyes stayed still on me or rather my relationship.

What I never understood, was how emerald eyes could have made me his,but didn't,only to get jealous when another did.

It seemed that he was devoted to destruction, forcing himself onto me,only to get shot down.

Only to devise another plan;coming on to my beau,so when i caught the two in a passionate kiss and embrace,my heart shattered.

For how could one be so envious of another,he'd destroy them,to create his own.

So green eyes seemed to believe,if someone made one individual happy, they would make him happy as well but his logic was faulty.

For every relationship he envied and ruined, the partner he swept away never stayed within his palms. As they were not meant for him,but his envious ways made him believe otherwise.

Jealousy; he reeked of the vile emotion and spun out of control

wanting

needing

desiring

anything not meant for him.
