I had it all if I thought about it long enough. The house, the beautiful children and the amazing husband. I suppose I didn't really think of what I had, as the journey to accomplish these things was not easy.

19 years earlier

Standing just in front of the gateway leading to platform 9 3/4 I knew that as soon as I stepped through it, my life was going to rapidly change.

After James and Albus left for Hogwarts, life at the Potter household was obviously different. My brothers had only been home for a couple of months in the year and I cherished it when they came home and I had someone to play with, even if they weren't always happy. Hugo and I often played together on our brooms at either one of our houses but it wasn't the same. I knew he also felt the loneliness as his big sister, and my older cousin Rose was also at Hogwarts. Me and Hugo were the youngest and last of the Weasley-Potter clan to go to Hogwarts and it couldn't have come sooner.

Mum squeezed my shoulders as we both ran through to the platform together. Dad, Albus and James shortly followed. I stopped for a minute before being pushed along by my mum. I took in my surroundings. The hustle and bustle of the station where the platform was full to the brim of families saying goodbye to their children, was entertaining. Children were getting onto the train lugging their trunks behind them as they went. I turned to mum who smiled at me,

"Not long now Lily and you will be on the train too! Let's go find your aunt Hermoine and Uncle Ron" I followed behind her still pushing my trolley. Suddenly, a ball of paper hit the cage of my owl Fergal and he started screeching. I looked to where the paper came from and saw a boy with slicked back blonde hair leaning against the wall staring at me with a grin on his face.

"Albus" I said turning to my brother still keeping eye contact with the boy "Who is that?" He looked to where I was looking and sighed.

"That, my dearest sister, is Scorpius Malfoy. Keep away from him- he is nothing but a nuisance" I frowned at him and looked away, keeping what my brother said in my mind.

As we approached uncle Ron and aunty Hermoine I saw Hugo tugging at something on his trolley.

"Hi Hugo!" I said just as I stopped.

"Hey Lil' what's up? You excited?" He replied, still distracted with something on his trunk.

"Yeah of course! We have been wanting to go to Hogwarts since our siblings left- remember?" He grunted in response "what are you doing Hugo?"

"There's something under my trunk but I can't get to it because of how heavy the trunk is!" I looked at him and laughed- did he not know anything about magic?!

I lifted my wand out of my pocket and whispered wingardium leviosa and the trunk rose a little so that Hugo could get the book that was stuck under his trunk.

"Thanks Lily!" He said and tucked it into his back pocket as it was only small.

"Come on you lot, time to get on the train- don't want to be late!" Uncle Ron spoke up. I checked the time and it was 10.50.

Dad put his hand on my shoulder and I looked up to his face.

"Lily have a brilliant time at Hogwarts and make sure to owl us if you have any problems." He squeezed my shoulder and I turned and hugged him. Then I remembered.

"Dad, what happens if I'm not a Griffindor like Albus?" Dad looked down and smiled.

"We will be happy whatever house you're sorted into and besides Albus is happy now and doing just fine." I turned to mum, a small tear was trickling down her cheek. She wiped it away quickly and smiled.

"That's it! All of my babies off for most of the year! Oh Lily, do have a brilliant time and make sure that you keep on top of everything OK?" I hugged her tightly and nodded.

"See you soon mum!" I said an I got on the train after Hugo.
