                           Garroth's POV
Nothing was making sense. Since when does Aphmau have a brother? And since when does she like zenix?

"Hello big brother." A Familiar voice spoke. I turned in while at what I saw. I thought it was Zane. Yet it wasn't.

"W-wha- h-how, a-are you h-here?" I stuttered. He had dark brown hair and red eyes. He smirked and walked over to me. He placed a hand on my shoulder. He had red sparkles all around him yet I still recognized him.

"Big brother, there's many things we can't explain." He responded still with a smirk.

"What are you? You have red eyes and sparkles all around you." (Garroth and Zane got away from Gene before they found anything as in previous chapter)

"I'm simply they same yet with power." The word power rolled off his tongue like he was better than this world. Like he was better then everyone in this place.

"Yes but what shall your 'power' be called." I said power while using finger quotes. He walked over to where Zenix, Sasha, and Gene were standing.

"Call me a shadow knight." Vylad spoke. They all did a silly pose like in the villain movies. Zenix looked at Aphmau and motioned for her to come join them. She blushed and walked over there. Why is she blushing? What's going on?

"You can join us Garroth. We can rule the world." Zenix said while grabbing Aphmau's hand.

"N-No." I hesitated.

"Oh come on, you don't want to disappoint your brother now do you?" Gene said smiling innocently. Vylad put his head down like he was hurt.

"Don't listen to them Garroth! I don't know what they are but Vylad's just using and playing you!" Zane said running in our direction. Gene's smile turned to angry expression.

"Don't listen to him. He doesn't have a heart. You know Zane has never thought of Vylad to be apart of the family. Just take my hand and you'll please your brother." Gene said while extending his hand. Zane looked hurt but he was right. How could I believe Zane? I put my hand forward and edged my way closer to it but not that fast.

"I g-guess your right Vylad never felt apart of the family and I want to make him feel like he belongs. Plus Zane has always been mean I guess." I edged my hand coder to his and Zane started sprinting towards us. He tried to stop me but it was too late. I grabbed Gene's hand and felt the worst pain I could ever feel.

Laurence's POV
I was sobbing onto Cadenza's dead corps when I heard a tremendous scream of pain. What if it was Aphmau? It couldn't be it sounded manly and deep. What if it's Garroth? No It can't be. He's me best friend I should at least go check. I got up and took one step. What about Cadenza? She'll be fine. Besides I'm just checking.

I started walking to the center courtyard of the hospital where the scream led me. I saw Vylad in line next to Sasha then Gene then Zenix and finally Aphmau. Aphmau looked scared. I looked in front of them and found out why. Garroth just shook hands with Gene willingly wanting to be a shadow knight. Why would he want this? I saw Zane on his knees, crying for his big brother. Zenix looked in my direction so I ducked behind some bushes.

Garroth's light disappeared and he was dropped down to the ground. He landed on his knees and and hands with his head hanging low. He was panting with much pain. Gene walked towards him.
