LATER THAT NIGHT WHILE EVERYONE IS SLEEPING
(IN CARTER AND MARLEE'S ROOM)
Marlee is awoken in the middle of the night to the sound of footsteps and the floor creaking coming from the hallway. She gets out of bed to check to see what it was. Thinking it's either her sister or her brother in law. As she steps out into the hallway the footsteps stop and she sees nothing there. So she gets back in bed. She then starts getting a heavy almost overwhelming feeling of apprehension. She strays feeling like something bad is gonna happen, she just didn't know what.
She sat up in bed and looked around the room to see if there was anyone or anything there. As her eyes adjusted she noticed a shadow was now at the end of the hallway. The shadow began moving closer to their bedroom door, so just in case, she got back up and leaned around the corner to see who or what was in the hallway. When she looked it was the same hunched shadow man her and her sister saw in the old room. Starting to panic, she quietly shut the door and locked it and hung a cross on the door for good measure as some extra protection.
She gets back in bed and attempts to go back to sleep. As she begins to drift off back to sleep, the covers are flung off of her and she jumps back awake. She grabs the covers and gets under them to try and hide from whatever the heck it is. She then felt something grab her legs and pull on her and almost yanked her out of bed. Which at that moment woke up Carter and freaked him out. He turned the light on and they both saw bruises where she had been grabbed on her legs.
