Today is Monday, my first varsity soccer practice and one week till school starts. They told us two days ago who officially made the team, and just like Josh told me I made varsity! I woke up at 7:30 because practice starts at 8:00 I throw on my light gray sports bra with matching spandex. Then I put on my white shorts and light blue tank top. I run downstairs with my soccer bag and fill up my water bottle. I grab my keys and a banana and run out the door yelling bye to my mom. I get in my car and I drive to the high school field.

At practice we put on all of our gear and get started.

"Everybody listen up," yelled Josh or I guess I should call him coach Larkin. " Today we are doing some drills to work mainly on scoring. I need everyone who thinks they play forward here and everyone who thinks they play defense here. Midfield pick which one you would rather play."

We all scramble to get into our separate groups. Since I play defense I got in them at group and I looked over at kasey who was trying to decide where to stand because she plays mid.

We listen to the instructions of the drill and I start out playing center defense. Marissa is playing forward. I like it when she plays forward because it gives me a chance to show her who's better. After playing for a little bit coach Larkin calls me out and replaced me.

I run over to him after grabbing some water, " How would you like to try forward?" He asked still looking at the field.

"I don't really know, I have pretty much played defense my whole life so I would probably need some extra practice but I would like to try it."  I answered back to Josh.

He turned to look at me and said," extra coaching is no problem for me, I wouldn't mind at all spending more time with you." He chuckled," if you want you can stay for a little bit after practice and I can help you."

I smiled and said," that would be great!"
After that he put me back in and in about another half an hour practice was over and everybody went home, except me and Josh.
