"Who did this?" I asked Olivia wiping the blood off of her face.

"I don't know. They hit from me behind and I blacked out." She said.

"You sure you don't want to go to the hospital?"

"In the morning. Not now."

Ms. Victoria walked in. "Olivia I got you some-(gco)."

She stopped dead in her tracks and her face softened. "What happened to you?" She sat next to her and cupped Olivia's chin in her hand.

"Who did this?"

"I don't know."

"Jacob go and get the first aid kit in the bathroom cabinet please."

I nodded and walked into her bathroom. I went into the cabinet and grabbed the first aid kit before going back into the room.

"I can't believe someone did this. Im coming down to that school Monday and somebody better give me an explanation or somebody gon' have to square up. I'm not playing."

Ms.Victoria was a very spiritual person and didn't believe in violence but when it came to her kids, she didn't play.

After she cleaned Olivia's face and everything she left out the room. I sat on the bed next to her and wrapped my arm around her. To be quite honest, I've had a crush on Olivia since the fifth grade but I've never said anything because I didn't want to mess up our friendship. I've been contemplating wether to tell her or not lately.

But now that we were alone, I wanted to tell her. I wanted to tell her that I loved her.

"Olivia I need to tell you something."

She wrapped her arm around me and laid her head on my shoulder. "What is it?"

"I don't know how your going to react to this but I have to get this off of my chest." She nodded and gestured for me to go on.

"Olivia I've been having a crush on you since the fifth grade. I've never said anything because I didn't want to mess up our friendship and I thought you'd never feel the same for me. And over time, my feelings have gotten stronger for you and I now realize that, I love you." I looked down at her and she didn't say anything.

I knew I shouldn't have said anything. I got up and started to slip on my shoes. Once I did, I grabbed my phone and headed for the door. "Wait." She grabbed my arm and pulled me over to her.

"I'm sorry. I was shocked. That's all." She said.

"So you feel the same for me?" I asked.

"Yeah. I didn't say anything though."

I smiled and looked into her eyes before she did the same. I couldn't resist, so I kissed her and she kissed back. The kiss lasted for a good minute or two before I pulled back.

"I love you too." She said.

After I ate breakfast, I grabbed my things and was about to head out the door.

"You sure your going to be alright?" Mama asked.

I had begged her to stay out of the mess, even though she was going to do what she wanted. I knew she would come to the school anyways. I could handle it.

"Mama I'll be fine." I said.

"We're going to get to the bottom of this, wether you like it or not." My dad said.
