Louis Tomlinson           *Homeless Fic*

Walking through the park, you can’t help but smile to yourself as you take a deep breath and slowly let it out. You had just found out that you were accepted into the college of your dream! You would finally be able to do what you had always dreamed of. Unlike other people, however, you just want to be alone. Your parents and friends were very happy and excited for you and had wanted to throw you a party, but you had declined. After all the stress, you just wanted to have a nice relaxing walk in the park. Or it would have been a nice relaxing walk in the park, if it hadn’t started raining.

You hold out your hand and look up at the dark clouds that were beginning to form above your head. A smile tugs at your lips and you hold out both of your arms as you spin around as it begins to rain, a laugh erupting from your throat. You are in too much of a good mood for the rain to spoil it!

After a few more minutes of just prancing around in the rain, you drop your arms and smile as you quickly jog to a nearby bridge. You stand under the bridge, shivering in the slightest as you watch the rain pour over the park. The sound of someone coughing catches your attention and you turn your head to see a man sitting on the floor, his back leaning against the bridge and an old, dirty blanket wrapped tightly around his body, which is shivering terribly. His face is dirty and he doesn’t even glance up at you—he just keeps on staring at the floor.

And just like that, your happy-go-lucky mood is gone and you take a step closer to the man. “Excuse me? Sir, are you okay?” You ask. Even if he doesn’t answer, you’re at least going to do something about his nasty coughs.

He glances up at you and your breath hitches in your throat as your eyes are met with insanely bright blue ones.  “I’m f-fine,” He finally replies through chattering teeth.

You frown and immediately walk over to him and sit down. “You don’t sound fine,” You reply as you try and put your hand against his forehead, only for him to wince and shrink back. “Don’t worry,” you reassure him, “I just want to help.” He hesitantly nods his head and allows you to press the back of your hand against his forehead. You gasp when you feel an incredible heat on the back of your hand. “You have a fever!” You exclaim. You look to your left and see that the rain is letting up, so you quickly stand and hold out your hand for him, “Come on, you’re coming with me.”

He stares at you as though you’re completely insane and you just wave your hand in front of him until he takes it. His hand is ice cold and trembling, and it takes everything in your power not to pull away from him. He stands up and the blanket drops to the floor. You see that underneath it he’s wearing a thin T-shirt, and some khakis, and no shoes or socks. “No wonder you have a fever—you’re practically naked!” You quickly pull off the jacket you happen to be wearing and toss it at him. “Put it on,” You say and he does as he’s told.

Thankfully, you only live a block away from the park and manage to make it to your apartment in less than five minutes running. You usher him inside ahead of you and close the door behind you, locking it in the progress. “Take off your clothes,” You tell him as you begin to strip your T-shirt off as well. His eyes bulge and he’s immediately blushing and turning away from you. “I’m being serious. The longer you stay in those clothes, the worse your fever will get!” You walk pass him and into the bathroom, tossing your wet clothes into the tub, you come back out in only your panties and bra.

He was beginning to take off his clothes as well when you asked him for his name. “L-Louis T-Toml-linson,” He replies and gives a very nasty cough at the end of his sentence. You nod in response and once he’s down to his boxers you push him into the bathroom and turn on the shower. You take the wet clothes from his hands and place them into the tub along with your own.
