James is woken up by a splash of cold water. He gets commanded to his feet by the guard. He oddly is given fresh clothes and some bread for something to eat. He sniffed out the bread assuming it was laced with some kind of poison.
"Just eat it, the king will want to see you soon", the guard rushed him. Once he was dressed and fed the guard shackled him. The guard lead James down the long corridor, the only thing killing the silence was the clanging of the chain.

So many thoughts ran through James's mind, why did the king want him? Why did Elaine come to see him? These thoughts were interrupted by an arm extended to stop him. James and there guard stopped in front of the kings chamber door. They let off a loud creak that echoed off the cobblestone walls as they opened. The King sat upon his throne, look impatient even after all these years. James was kicked behind his knee causing his legs to hit the floor in a bow.

"You shall kneel before the King you pathetic dog", the guard bellowed. The guard lifts up his arm to strike him I until the King raises his hand, "There is no need for such actions Marcus. He shall be fine, back to your post", Marcus walks out of the Kings chamber. Once James is back on his feet the more guards make an X shape with their swords at his throat.

"I'm getting kind of tired of this", James sighs.

The King rises from his throne and signals for the guard to stand down. They both walk to the courtyard. For the first few moments its silent besides the cling clang of the shackles. The yard was empty besides a few statues here and there, the grass was lush and full. The sky was clear with very few clouds scattered across the blue canvas. Sun light warming up the early afternoon. Both James and the King stopped and looked upon the foliage.

"You know why I have summoned you here", the King said in a serious tone.

"I have renounced my knighthood, the day I took off my helmet", James replies.

The King was holding something back and James knew it. He glares at the King showing that he knows something is a miss.

He sighs, "There have been whispers of rebellion, we have reason to believe that someone in the castle is the root of such blasphemy".

"So you want me to find the insolent traitor?"

"Precisely".

James let's out a long, tired sigh. He wanted to leave all this stressful life behind and reside to a more calm life. After about an hour of coaxing James agreed to take on the assignment.

The plan was for James to work around the castle as a guard to find the source of all this gossip. After that he went to his cabin to gather his things. On his way back to the castle he thought he heard someone following him. He acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. As the footsteps sounded closer and closer his heard beats faster and faster. On the final snap of a twig quickly turns strike but he wasn't fast enough. James received a kick to the side of his rib cage. Sent into the air, hitting has back again a tree. When he looks up he sees a boot coming towards his face. James slightly moves his head to the side, the boot barely missing him face. As a counter James grabs the leg of the unknown attacker and kicks the other, causing the attacker to fall. In a matter of second James was on his feet and a surprised look washes upon his face when he gazes to his foe
