The sound of my footsteps echo against the dark wooden floors. I breathe heavily and make my way towards a small door I can see a small distance ahead. Thoughts pace my mind and I almost turn back, but it's too important to miss this. Much too important. My hand grazes the brass doorknob delicately, and I question my decision one last time. Slowly, I turn the handle and step into the room on the other side. It's cold, possibly even freezing. A small, oak desk sits in the centre of the room, making it the primary focus. On the walls are some certifcates. Degrees, most of them. One seems to be a newspaper article but I can't tell what about. A voice, male, calls my name. It startles me. I notice the man to my right in a plaid jacket and tight trousers. I look to his face. He has a long, hooked nose and his mouth is turned down, possibly in disgust. However, his eyes seem to sparkle. They are thoughtful. 'My, my. Pacifica. I was beginning to doubt your.. skills in arriving on time.'. I-I'm sorry. Mr.. Sur? I didn't mean to be.. I mean I.. I was stuck in traffic.' 'Yes Pacifica.. That is why when I called you I specifically asked you to take the train here. Traffic, as always, is an unavoidable problem these days.'. I look down. He doesn't seem to be a force to be reckoned with. 'I'm sorry Sir.' 'Just. Sit down please. I believe your here to discuss something with me? Something about.. tutoring?'. 'Oh, pardon my manners sir, yes, I would like to ask you about something.' He leads me over to a velvet couch and directs me to sit. 'Well, I.. As you know.. With the economy being as it is.. Um..' I swallow. 'I just.. You advertised in the paper you were looking for students to tutor? I.. Would like to apply. My name.. It's Pacifica Cade. I am a student studying.. a certain field of science.'
