I Knew The First Time We Met That You Would Be Hard To Forget."Some zeros." The voice rang through the meeting room. "You all lost your composure due to some zeros."
"I almost lost a major deal because a worthless employee- one amongst you - added a few zeroes."
The speakers had been a good idea, each situated on a corner of the room. The microphone shook as I slammed a copy of the contract on the table. All the members of the finance team shook in their seats. Even the secretarial team at the back. It was amusing really.
What wasn't amusing was the loss I could have faced if I had lost this contract. One of the biggest construction contracts for one of the biggest hotel chains, in the heart of New York. A contract which would leave a mark on the construction scene in this part of America.
And a because of this mistake I would have lost it all.
Control.
I turned to my right. A man stood stoically facing the room, his eyes glaring at the occupants of the room.
"How will you handle this?"
He turned towards me. Smirking. His eyes though stayed in a glare as he turned back.
"Fire the ones responsible. And throughly verify that only those that are qualified and will not make such mistakes remain."
"Fire the department manager. He let this mistake slip through."
"Yes Sir."
"I don't want such mistakes again Luke."
He nodded. Smirk still in place. And with that I made my way out of the room without a backward glance.

"Leave me alone."
"B-But sir....." A glare effectively cut him off.
The security guards looked at each other for a moment before nodding and escaping back into the building. I opened the door of the Limo and sat in. Just as the driver was about to get in the I spotted one of the most amusing sight.
Stiletto lady with a crissoaint stuffed in her mouth was juggling 3 coffees and some confections in her hands. All the while she walked at the most awkward angle in her high heels.
Is that going to be successful for long? That question is answered as a coffee fell, accompanied by another and soon her hands were empty of their load. The woman gazed at them in sorrow, crissoaint now hanging losely from her mouth.
How embarrassing.A chuckle was heard in the limo and I was startled before I realised that the sound had escaped from my lips. How weird.
The Limo sped off as I kept staring at the intriguing lady.

New York. Manhattan. Central Park. A truly peaceful place. Especially at noon. For the first time since I landed in the U.S, did I feel such peace.
My Armani suit had been replaced by a simple sweatshirt and sweatpants. And while they had cost as much as the Armani they were less professional and thus there were less chances of me being spotted. My glasses were replaces by simple shades.
It was extremly relaxing. That is if you ignored the fraternizing couples littered through out the park.
"Akhi, this place isn't as magical as you had hopped." I whisper as I spot a couple almost dry humping while kissing. Don't they need to breathe.
