One fine morning, my friends and I decides to hang-out. We went to an arcade and play like a kid that we are; we eat some snacks and laugh like there’s no tomorrow. Boy’ we really did enjoy ourselves. Later that afternoon my friends decided to go in a nearby park and play. We play tag, hide and seek and many more and subsequently I feel tired and thirsty.

I walk towards my friends and told them that I need to catch my breath and drink something to keep me hydrated. They just nod and continue playing. I on the other hand walk on the way to a juice vending machine. I pull-out my coin purse and open it when suddenly someone bump me and the coins fell out and scattered on the ground. I hear someone said sorry but I’m to annoy to take notice. I bend and start picking up my coins when something caught my attention. A photograph besides my coin; I was about to ignore it but curiosity won, so I pick it up and see what’s in it. In the picture I see a very pretty girl around my age; at that moment I feel a sudden ‘thud’ in my chest. Oh boy’ I’m in-love with a girl that’s in the photograph. I look around to see if the girl still around but no luck. I hurriedly went back to the park, glance around trying to see if I can see her. A tap on my shoulder stop me from looking; my friend tells me that we’re about to leave since it’s starting to get dark. Disappointed, I look at the girl in the picture sighed and put the photograph inside my wallet.

Ten years passed me by quickly and now I'm twenty-seven years old. I still keep the girl’s photograph inside my wallet; hoping one day I can see her in the crowd. And for twenty years I tried to date other women but it seems there’s no one who can make me feel that ‘thud’ feeling that I felt when I first saw her picture.

On the eleventh year I meet a woman who made me fall in-love with her effortlessly. I court her, date her, and later got married and live a happy life. However, there are times when I will open my wallet and take out the girl’s photograph and stare at it; thinking what could have happen if we I meet her.

One fine morning my wife and I decided to go outside and have a picnic in a nearby park. When we’re about to eat she told me that she forgot to bring our can juice. I got up and told her not to worry because I know a juice vending machine nearby and I can just buy some from it. As I stand in front of the vending machine I remember that this is the same place where I found the picture of my first love. Thinking that I’m a happily married man I decided to return the picture where I first found it. I bring out my wallet and take out the photograph, place it on the floor and smile. I was about to leave when I saw my wife coming over I’m guessing that she saw what I did because she bend over and take the picture. She then looks at the photograph, mystified she asked me “How come you have this picture?” puzzled by her question I told her that I found it here when I was just a kid. She smile and said to me. “This was taken when I was a young girl, my father gave this to me before he left but I lost it, I literally cried my heart out when I can’t find it.” bewildered by her statement I smile.

I really did find her after all.

No wonder I fell in-love with her.

She really is the one for me.

My fated person.

My destiny.

My soul mate.

My one true love.
