*Y/N POV*

As the bus pulled up at the school, my heart sank slightly. School might help us work for greater society, but doesn't really prepares us for life in the harsh world. We both got off the bus and started to walk to our lockers. My locker was directly above Tyler's because we were the first to claim them at the start of the year. I opened my locker and sorted out my book for the morning; thank goodness I only have 1 hour of study. I quickly checked my books and made my way to class. I went to sit next to my best friend, Jade, and mentally prepared myself for what was to come.

"Did you complete the presentation for today?" Jade whispered. Panic shot through my body for a split second while I searched my bag for my USB, finally finding it in the front pocket. "Don't worry I got it. Did you finish your illustrations?" I asked, making sure we had all of our stuff ready for today. "Yeah" Jade responded, pulling a folded up piece of paper with a few detailed illustrations. Soon after a teacher walked in, it was Mr. Harly. "Good morning class" his dull voice echoed in my head, like every other day. We all responded in a bored tone, just like any other day.

"I expect you to give your presentations on mythology and urban legends today. Who would like to go first?" His eyes scanned the entire classroom, trying to choose his first 'victim'. His eyes finally rested in a group of 3 boys, who all got up and gave a presentation on vampires and how media glorifies them with such films like Twilight.

*Small Timeskip*

"Right. (Y/N) and Jade, please give your presentation." Mr. Harly drones out. We both looked at each other and set up our presentation board. Jade introduced our presentation and the subject, being about werewolves and how there are multiple variations depicted throughout history. If she only knew. The class concluded half way through our presentation, but we had already guessed that we would overrun. We packed everything up and started to leave when Mr. Harly stopped us. "I must say, from what I've seen so far, this is a really interesting topic of research. How did you find so much detail?" He inquired, to which Jade turned to me, also intrigued. I shrugged "You'd be surprised what you can find on the internet and old articles" That was the only thing I thought of. "Well I hope to learn more about the alternate versions of these creatures."

We both nodded and left the room. "I'm pretty sure that even if you spent 23 hours in the internet, you wouldn't find that much detail" Jade smirked. I just shrugged it off. I decided to go find Tyler and talk to him about my presentation. Thankfully, his teacher wasn't in so he had a free as well. After some searching I heard a commotion in one of the classrooms. There were no classes going on around so no-one else could hear anything. I slowly approached the door to hear mild growls from the other side. This isn't good. I opened the door to see a Vancouver Island wolf ripping apart some textbooks. It noticed me and started to growl at me, staring through me with its bright blue eyes.

I felt myself becoming defensive as I slowly crouched down to the wolf's level. It continued to growl at me. I calmly sat down and carefully watched it as it also sat down, shooting me a guilty look. "And you think I'm bad at keeping control" I giggled. The wolf gave me a 'Yeah, yeah, yeah' look and walked over. I patted it on the head until it seemed to cheer up. "Now you're calmed down, shall we find you're pendant?" The wolf nodded, as I started to search for it. I eventually found it and placed it around the wolf's neck.

The pendant started to glow and envelop the wolf in a green glow. In an instant, the glow dimmed and the wolf was gone and in it's place, Tyler stood, with a guilty expression still on his face. The room went silent until he spoke up. "I'm sorry (Y/N), I know I have to set an example but I couldn't help it. Liam was calling me a freak and insulting the entire family. No-one insults our family without harsh consequences, only we were in the courtyard surrounded by others so I couldn't deal with the problem." I hugged him and sighed "At least there is no other classes around. But we have to tell Mum and Dad about what happened, not that I need to tell you that." I let him collect himself, then we started to clear up the mess of papers. This is the 4th time this month alone, and that only spells trouble for all of us I thought.
