Skylar's POV

"So where do we wanna eat?" Harry says from the drivers seat. We all piled in the five seater car. So I'm squished between Louis and Niall. Liam offered for me to sit in shotgun, but I refused I wanted to be polite and slightly because I wanted to sit next to Niall. We sit in the car for a couple minutes trying to decide where to eat. They bicker for a while. Niall keeps trying to convince us to go to Nando's but we keep reminding him we are in California. Unfortunately there are no Nando's here, I swear the look on Niall's face is equally the saddest and cutest thing I've ever seen.

Eventually we decide on a place called BJ's it seemed nice and only 5 minutes away from the airport on the maps. So we thought why not? All the boys are talking nonsense that I can't really understand. I try to follow but they are all talking at once. Except Niall he seemed so mysterious. I pretend to look out the window to get a glance at him. I realized he was looking at me. Once we locked eyes he blushed a little, but covered his embarrassment with a wink. He seems to be very fond of that sweet gesture. But I'm not complaining I can't get enough of it. I give him a small smile. He then begins to say something, "so, I know we just me-" Zayn yells, "THERE IT IS! hah! I found it guys." I begin to giggle because of how proud he was of himself. The other boys groan. Harry sarcastically says, " yah great job at finding that huge BJ's sign. Thank god you saw it." Zayn laughed it off and went along with it," yah so I guess I'm not so bad at directions after all hmm!" Harry huffs a playful whatever to him as he pulls into a parking spot.

As we got out a muscular man with a slight scruffy beard approached us. I was caught a little off guard until Niall whispered in my ear, "don't worry he's just our body guard, Paul". I guess he noticed my nervousness.

I decided to introduce myself to him. "Hi I'm Skylar! You must be Paul their body guard!"

"I'm more like their babysitter because these boys can be very mischievous. But yes, it is nice to meet you. Harry has told me about you." Paul replies

I slightly turn to Harry, "I've been hearing that a lot today" Harry's face flushes and he looks down at his scuffed up boots.

"He has just missed you so much. You guys are close huh?" Paul asks

"Yah we've been friends forever" I reply.

"Alright enough with the small talk lets go eat some dinner!" Louis interrupts.

After being seated in a secluded area in the restaurant we begin to look at our orders. I am seated between Niall and Harry. With Louis Zayn and Liam across from me and Paul on the edge of the table. I put my menu down already picking my usual pasta dish, Fetechini

Alfredo.

Harry slightly moves toward me and questions me, "Fetechini Alfredo?" "Yup" I simply reply. "Some things never change" he states. "But you definitely have" I say with slight humor motioning to his tattoos. "What do you mean?" He asks furrowing his eyebrows at me. "You've physically changed in a good way since I last saw you" his face relaxes as I continue,"you've gotten much taller, muscular and I see some tattoos." He chuckles a little and says,"no you've mistaken, I can't change." He says pointing to his left wrist. My eyes lay on one of his tattoos that has a quote,'I can't change...' I let out a laugh and nudge his shoulder. "You're right you haven't changed you're still such a dork" I tease him.

So the waiter comes by and takes our drink and food orders at once. I noticed Niall ordered two appetizers plus a dinner plus two sides. I point out, "you a little hungry Niall?" Followed by a giggle. He blushes and states,"I've got a big appetite" he shrugs with a proud smile.

First our drinks come. Niall reaches over to get a straw and tips over my Sprite by accident.

"Holy shit! I'm so sorry!" He begins to panic grabbing the cup immediately and grabs a pile of napkins. He pats down my lap with a bunch of napkins. He then realized what he's doing and just awkwardly hands me the rest of the napkins and apologizes once more and flushes while looking down at his lap. I shrug it off and tell him it's fine and it was just an accident. I then excuse myself from the table to clean up in the bathroom.

When I walk out of the bathroom after getting cleaned up, I run into a hard chest. I look up to see blue sorrowful eyes. He immediately speaks up, "oh god I'm sorry again" and he grabs my hands that were resting on his chest lightly from the impact. "I didn't mea-" I interrupt his embarrassment and say while giving his hands a small squeeze to ease him,"Niall seriously it's okay. I'm okay." He nods understandingly then he hesitantly lets go of my hands and puts his own into his pockets and asks timidly,"he-ey uh ca-n I make i-it uu-p to you-u? Bytakingyououtsometime?" He rushes the last part and I ask him to repeat it. He then sighs and lifts his head to look at me. Then slowly asks once again," can I take you out sometime to make it up to you?" I freeze a little and he continues to ramble, "like on a date? Uh never mind that was stupid of me to ask I know we just-" I cut him off once again, "yes" "wait uh really?" He asks surprised by my reaction. "Of course why not? It sounds fun."

"Sick, I would really like to get to know you better Skylar." He says gaining some confidence and following it by a wink. Damn that is seriously really hot. Okay stop Skylar. I snap out of it,"yah same to you as well." I grin then realize,"we should get back to the table before they suspect something.." I say while starting back to the table. I barely hear a whisper from Niall as I'm making my way back,"maybe that's not a bad thing" but I shrug it off and continue.

Louis instantly speaks up when we get back to the table,"damn we're you guys having sex or something in there?" I see harry kick him hard under the table and give him a glare. Louis yelps and apologizes then rubs his leg. I look at Niall and he's blushing immensely and also glaring at Louis. Louis finally puts his hands up in surrender and I add giggling slightly," yup you caught us oops! Guilty is charged" wide eyes all lock on me and I assure them it was just a joke and they abrupt in laughter even Paul. Niall and I sit back down at the table and start to munch on the appetizers that were served on our table while we were at the bathroom.

After dinner we head to the hotel. I end up falling asleep in the car on niall's shoulder. The boys think I'm completely asleep but I'm half way so I am still alert to sound.

"So, Niall you fancy Skylar?" I hear Zayn whisper. It's silent for a little and I feel a hand on my head stroking my hair. Then Nialls voice following it,"a little but I'm going to take her out on a date soon so I can really get to know her"

Louis butts in, in a whisper as well,"you guys would be cute together"

I hear murmurs from the front seat so I'm guessing harry and Liam were conversing.

I hear Niall giggle slightly and asks,"you think so?"

"What do you think Harr-"

I can't help my jet lag kicked in right then. I don't remember anything after that. I fell asleep to Niall stroking my hair softly. It soothed me and I fell asleep content.
