Miranda is a 17 years old girl who lives in London with her mom and her stepdad. She is the only kid in her family and she has always felt a little lonely. She is medium tall, have long brown straight hair and green eyes. Miranda's dad died when she was 7 in a car accident and she missed him so much. But there was one thing that was a little strange to her; even though he was gone, it felt that he was still here. And sometimes Miranda felt like someone was watching her. She didn't want to think of that, so to remove those thoughts out of her mind she liked to write in her diary. And every night she did, except for one night two months ago.

It was a rainy day and Miranda was on her way home from school. She walked on the sidewalk and there were a lot of cars driving beside her. When she got to a corner of a large building she stopped walking. It was like her feet got stuck in the ground and her eyes focused on something across the street. It looked like a man, a very tall man. He had black clothes and his hair was in a dark brown color. He was just standing there and starring at Miranda, she didn't know what to do. She closed her eyes thinking that the man would disappear. So there she was standing with her eyes closed and suddenly she felt someone breathing her in her neck and she couldn't get that creepy feeling out of her mind. "Is everything alright my dear?" a little squeaky voice said. She opened her eyes and saw a little lady standing right in front of her." Oh, y-yes. Yes I'm fine." Miranda said. The lady said something more but Miranda didn't pay attention, the only thing she could think of was the man she saw seconds ago or was it minutes or hours? He was gone. Miranda didn't know what to do, but one thing she did know was that she wasn't spending one more second at this place. "I'm sorry but I have to go" Miranda said to the lady who was still standing right in front of her, talking to Miranda. But Miranda hadn't listened to anything the lady had said." You look like you have seen a ghost, but my dear there is no need to be scarred. Here, let me give you my business card, call me whenever you want to talk". The lady gave Miranda her card and walked away.

Back home she decided to take something to eat. Since the cafeteria was closed because of improvement and the food in the dining hall today was beans. And that was not exactly a favorite of hers, so she was really hungry. Miranda opened the refrigerator and saw that they had some leftover chicken from last night. She put it in the microwave and began to heat it; meanwhile she walked over to the living room and turned on the TV. She saw that the show that was on right now was her favorite show, Grey's Anatomy. Miranda began to fix the pillows and the blankets in the couch so it would be comfortable. Suddenly Miranda heard a noise from the kitchen, it sounded like plates were picked out from the cabinet. But a thought came to her mind. She was home alone.
