she looks at her phone to see that its her parents, so she answers it

a= hey mom and dad, what's up
p= well we think that its time that you come visit, we haven't seen you since you moved to New York, and we have huge news for you.
a= then why dont you just tell me over the phone? like you usually do? plus I dont have a day off till Friday.
p= we know honey thats why your mom told your place of work that you will be working here in California for the next few weeks.
a= ok so I'm just supposed to drop everything and come back home?!!?
p= well no honey thats why we booked your flight for Friday.
a= FRIDAY!!??! That means I only have one day to pack!!!!
p= yes we know honey. now be safe , we love you bye
*line goes dead before Alex can even say anything***

great now u have to pack everything. and they didnt even tell me how long I'll be out there for..... well I guess ill be able to see my friends again.
*alex packs clothes for two weeks, then texts her friend*
