Chapter 4:
AJ's POV:
After school I waited outside for Christina. I felt like she was hiding something from me. "Hey." She said smiling while walking up to me. "Can I talk to you?" She asked. "Of course. Let's go." I answered as we went back to my house. I held her hand softly as we walked into my backyard. She looked away then slowly started talking. "I asked Sarah. About you. I didn't mention us." Christina muttered. "You did what? I told you not to. And you lied to me." I said loudly. "Why?" I asked then interrupted her. "You know what? No. This is exactly what Sarah did. Just leave." I told her angrily.Christina's POV:
I ran away from AJ's house and started crying when I reached my front porch. I heard someone walking towards me in the distance. It was Ben. "Hey what's wrong?" He asked sitting next to me. "Everything." I answered looking at him through tears. "You can tell me." He said placing a hand on my back. I poured out everything to Ben still crying. "Shh it's okay. I promise." He whispered wrapping an arm around my shoulder. We sat in silence for a few minutes when Ben turned to look at me. "Don't let people hurt you." He said then leaned in and kissed me. I didn't pull away letting it happen. All of my feelings were going crazy.AJ's POV:
After Christina left I sat thinking to myself. I wouldn't let lies ruin our relationship like it did with Sarah. I sat in silence when my phone buzzed. It was Sarah. She had dm'd me an out pour of questions. I ignored everything and went to bed.***
The next morning I walked into school nervously hoping to avoid drama. Until I saw Ben walking with his arm wrapped around Christina. I made eye contact then quickly walked in the opposite direction. I wasn't paying attention when I bumped into Sarah. "Hey." She said smiling at me. "Why won't you talk to me?" "Because I'm with Christina." I told her. "It sure doesn't look like it." Sarah said pointing behind me. Christina and Ben were all over each other. It drove me crazy. "Why don't we just talk after school?" Sarah said staring at me. "Sounds good." I answered her. So Christina wanted to play that game.
