Lauren's Pov:
I was woken up by the wonderful sounds of birds chirping and the rain hitting my window. It was a beautiful day today even though it was raining. I've always loved the rain, I thought to myself as I drifted into a day dream, oh it's so pretty and when you go outside and jump in the puddles, or when- "Crap!" I said aloud, as I was scared from a buzz from a text message I got. It was Alex, he was wondering if I would want to go on a walk and maybe just maybe jump in the puddles, I laughed at the thought of it, just us having fun and enjoy every second till the new year comes. I liked Alex a lot but it's just hard knowing that he will never like me, he's friend zoned me so much lately so I guess I would just have to back off. Shaking my head to renew my thoughts, I got up and did one knock on the wall, in return I got two knocks that means he was ready. " let's go do this!" I said motivating myself, I pulled myself off the bed and started getting ready.

Alex's Pov :
I woke up from a nightmare, it was a bad one this time, it was where I lost all my family, all my friends, where I lost Lauren. Just thinking about her made me smile, how if she would start to laugh she probably fall to the ground because she would laugh so hard she would trip, and as I kept thinking about her my smile widened. I shook my head at least telling myself not to think about her since how she was acting lately, she has been friend zoning me like crazy and it just hurts, anyways. I get up and start getting ready for the day and just as I start to brush my hair, I text Lauren to see if she would like to go on a walk, I know how much she loves the rain and especially jumping in the puddles, she gives me the one knock of approval and I give her two
knocks to know I'm ready. " You can do this" I tell myself " you can do this ".
