The Talk

Xander's POV

I walk into my dorm and I see all the elders sitting on my couch . They were just staring at me. I was really on confused and a little scared. If they were the first thing that you saw when you walked into your house or room you would be too.

"Where is Patient no. 415?" The head elder asked. I shrugged I really didn't know and it kinda made me nervous. Just there Tanner and Dakota walked in and just like I did they stopped in their tracks.

"What are they doing here?" Tanner growled. See Tanner doesn't really like the elders due to the fact that they are always trying to get Tanner to knock Dakota up cause they want more hybrids. It wouldn't be a big deal except that Dakota is a very tiny girl and had a lot of health problems due to her childhood. If she was get pregnant it would be to much for her body to handle let alone her having to deliver it later on.

"We're here for your mate Mr.Bronson." One of the elders said plainly.

"Tanner baby it's ok..." Dakota said stepping in front of him. "What is it you need from me Elders?" She asked looking at the ground. See the girls aren't allowed to look the elders in the eyes when they talk to them.

"You've been here for almost two years and you haven't brought fourth a fegdling yet." The oldest elder said in his deep voice.

"Cause if she does she'll die you dumb pricks!" Tanner yelled his eyes turning a dusty gold color. See when Tanner or I have a strong emotion our wolves try to take over. It doesn't matter if it's lust,sadness,pain,anger or even happiness if the emotion is strong enough the wolf tries to take over.
    "Tanner please clam down!" Dakota  begged. He sighed and started pacing.

    "I'm sorry there is no other way...." one of the elders said standing up. Just then another stood up and whispered something to one another.
"Well there is one other way. But it's experimental"
Tanna stopped pacing "what is it?!"

"The male will take a pill that will basically turn you into a female for about 4-5 months or until you deliver"

   "Um yeah I'm sorry Kota I love you I really do but I can't do that..." Dakota looked at him like he was crazy

    "Hell no you're not gonna do that are you crazy?! I'll just have to have a baby..."

"That's not happening Kota I'm not losing you again!" Tanner yelled. See when Kota first got here Tanner and Kota didn't know that hybrid babies are bigger and grew faster then normal fledglings . So when Kota got pregnant it was too much weight for her to carry and so she couldn't move and when it came time to deliver it was to much for her to handle and her heart started to give out. But the elders did some weird voodoo shit and restored her heart. After that for months Tanner wouldn't let her out of his sight for longer then 10 minutes. So ever since then Tanner refuses her to have a baby ever again.

"Tanner you should calm down its gonna ok I'll be fine" Kota said hugging him. She looked up at him with those big beautiful brown eyes of hers

"everything's gonna be fine I'm gonna be fine" she whispered.

"No Kota please!!" He pleaded. Tears filling his eyes. Dakota was everything to him. We had all been friends before we started going here. Dakota was there for him when his parents died, she was there when he accidentally killed someone turning his wolf curse on, she was there when he got kicked out and lost everything except the clothes on his back. See she was there for us whenever we need something doesn't matter when, where, what time she was always there.

"Shh shh baby it's gonna be ok I promise" she said and walked over to the elders "ok I'll bring proof of fertilization by next moon" she said quietly. The elder looked pleased. They nodded and walked out of the room.
