"Troye, can you help me with this? They're going to be here soon and i'm running a bit behind," Connor called out.

"Coming," Troye called. He quickly ran his fingers through his freshly washed hair before walking out to the kitchen to help. It was a Friday night, and they had decided to invited some other couples over for a date night in. They invited Tyler and Korey, Joey and Daniel, Colleen and Joshua, and Hannah and Ingrid. They were supposed to be there in 45 minutes, and Connor was franticly trying to prepare dinner in time.

Troye walked over to him, snaking his arms around his waist. "How can I help baby?" Troye asked, kissing the base of Connor's neck.

-------- 40 minutes later --------

"Done." Connor sighed, pushing the last item into the oven. "Ugh that was tiring," he whined, resting his head on Troye's shoulder.

"You better wake up," Troye giggled, "they'll be here any minute."

Connor nodded and headed of to the bathroom to splash his face with cold water, while Troye turned on one of Connor's spotify playlists. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Troye rushed to answer it just as Connor walked back into the living room.

"Joey, Daniel! So good to see you!" Troye exclaimed, giving each of the boys a quick hug before leading them into the living room.

Before to long, everyone had arrived. They all sat around the living room catching up, while Connor went to go check on the dinner.

"So Troye, any new projects?" Colleen asked.

"Well I have the Suburbia Tour coming, and I am planning on releasing some new music soon. What about you?" He responded.

"I'm mostly just wrapping up post production for Haters Back Off. It's coming along really well though." she said, smiling.

"That's great!" Troye said. He was about to say more when Connor called out.

"Hey Tro, can you come here?" he yelled sounding a little distressed.

Troye excused himself and ran into the kitchen. "What's wrong Con?" he asked.

"The oven isn't working and the food isn't cooked. What do we feed them?" Connor replied.

"Why don't we order pizza. We could just watch movies and chill. You know, make it more casual," he answered.

"Sounds good Tro. Can you let them know while I call?"

"Sure Con," he said, walking back to the guests.

They all got comfortable on various couches and arm chairs. Troye got some blankets, as it was quite cold in the house. Connor walked back from the kitchen and sat next to Troye on the love seat. "Okay, pizza is ordered," he announced, "What movie should we watch?"

The group discussed for a few minutes before deciding to watch The Conjouring. They were all in the mood for something scary. Connor was just about to hit play when the pizza finally came. He got paper plates and handed out slices, before dimming the lights, cuddling up with Troye, and playing the movie.

The pizza had been eaten, and everyone was intently watching the film. Connor noticed Troye flinching at some of the jump scares, and repositioned them so he could better comfort him. He lay down on the love seat, with his upper back leaning against the arm rest. Troye lay on his side on half of Connor's chest, throwing an arm over the rest of it. Connor moved his arm around Troye's back to hold him in place. Troye instantly calmed down, melting into Connor's embrace  and feeling safe.

The movie ended and it was getting pretty late, so everyone started to leave. "Bye guys!" Connor waved, "good to see you!" he closed the door behind the last person and walked over to Troye. "That was fun," he said softly, standing on his tip toes and wrapping his arms around Troye's neck.

"It was Connie," Troye responded, pecking Connor's lips happily.

Just a little fluff. Should I try writing angst? I haven't done any yet. Anyways, let me know if you have any prompts or advice or anything!
