Walking in the streets, your mind was rumbling with thoughts. Was he following you? You took a glance back and to your relief did not see the white haired man.  You shivered, before turning your attention to the front once again.

The look in his eyes... just thinking of it made you want to scream. He knew you were after him and yet he dared to come and sit in the same coffee shop as you. This was making you nervous, how did he even learn that? Those kind of situation add all the reasons to make you anxious. First of all, this could mean information leaked somewhere or second it means... No you don't want to think about it. You don't want to consider the fact that you could be a target, his target precisely. You knew you had a prime over your head in the Ghoul world. You were quite the hunter if I may mention so it wouldn't be a surprise to be an actual target.

You anxiously entered an abandoned building that you knew was safe enough for you to train in peace. You let out your kagune and started training in hope that you might stop thinking about all those weird thoughts you were having.

Then you heard something, footsteps. Your breath hitched in your throat, there was someone in here  and you were so distracted that you didn't even notice someone was there with you all along. They could've seen you. But what you worried more and more about was who was supposed to be 'They'. Kaneki? Another hunter? A human perhaps? You started having cramps as your Ghoul self was looking around in need of clues on the stranger.

The sound of glass breaking made your body tense and you were teared between the want to go see what's in there with you or going away. Your human self wanted to get out of there and real fast as your Ghoul self wanted to stay and fight. Though you couldn't help it when your heart skipped a beat seeing white hair in the far away. You didn't know why but you felt the need to cower away immediately. Your kagune suddenly disappeared without you even wanting it and you couldn't feel or hear anything going on. It was just as if your Ghoul was gone, that you were only human.

You bit your lower lip in anticipation, your left feet taking a step back without even knowing it. You tried to make your kagune appear again but it was to no avail. For your safety, you decided it was better to get the heck out of there before something a lot worse than hearing and seeing someone.

Seven O'clock PM. You entered your apartment, still asking yourself questions about the unavailability of your kagune. While you weren't in class and enjoying a quick pause, you would go in the school bathroom's and try to make it appear but it didn't. Not even once.

You took a shaky breath and looked around you. You decided that you should get out of the house and go enjoy a night out.

So you dressed in your favorite dress and some heels. You styled your hair in a way you liked, putted some make up on and gave a final look in the mirror. Perfect.

Kaneki has been observing you all day and he was really surprised you still wanted to have a night out. He noticed how stresses you looked and also the fact that your kagune seemed to weirdly have disappeared when he was in that  building with you. You looked so vulnerable. He heard so many rumors of you and how strong of a hunter you were, though the scared look on your face seeing him in the coffee shop wasn't something he expected.  He also remembered you from class and you looked like a really courageous and confident girl, which made him even more curious on why you would even act like that.

He decided he might have to go to the same place you were going to maybe figure out what was wrong with you. Guessing by the way you dressed, he knew that you had to go at a restaurant or something in the style so he dressed in the consequences and followed you to where ever you were going.

He stopped his car just behind the taxi you just took and he was quite surprised. The place was huge and really fancy looking, all made of windows and illuminated by lights that were meant to make people feel at ease and stay as long as possible. He hoped you weren't going to do anything he couldn't attend or else it would ruin his plan to follow you.

He looked at you getting out of the taxi and grabbing something in your purse. A masquerade mask, so that's what you were going to attend: a masquerade. You were dressed fancy and elegantly it made sens. Knowing he wouldn't be able to enter without a mask, he started the car and drove to a place he knew he would find what he would probably need.

As soon as he got the mask, he got back to the place you were going and stationed his car. He made his way to the entrance where a gentleman asked him for his name and if he was accompanied. Then he was lead to the first floor of the glass building. He wasn't expecting this place to be a fancy restaurant actually, but it made more and more sens.

"On the first floor is the dining area, the second the bar and the lounge and the third floor is reserved for dancing, sir," informed the young man that welcomed him in, " please inform us if ever you want to eat something we will make sure to give you a place and the best service possible."

Kaneki nodded and thanked the man before looking around in hope to find you, not that there was a mass of people but just enough to make him wonder where you could be. After a while, he couldn't find you either on the bar floor neither on the restoration floor so he decided to go on the third floor.

He looked around and here you were dancing a slow with a stranger, to the musicians playing in the corner of the room. Then your eyes laid on him and you stopped dancing, you knew who he was.
