I was sitting in my office getting ready to go to lunch when some of my coworkers came to my door.

"Hey y/n wanna sit with us in the break room" Ashley asked

"Sure'I exclaimed smiling. I got up and was off with Rick and Ashley we entered the lunch room and I noticed they scrunched their faces up to Pryce our other coworker. I hated people like that

"How come you guys looking at him like that"I said confronting them

"The man is a bum Okay he lives out of a truck"Rick said rolling his eyes

"So that's no reason to talk bad bout him"I said defending him

"I mean once you think about it it is a little weird considering all the money he makes here"Ashley said a Ugh they were getting on my nerves

"Well Imma go sit with him"I said getting up. They just shook their heads

"Hey"I said to Pryce once I made it to where he was

"Hi"he smiled

"Can I sit here?"I asked

"Ofcourse"he said I loved friendly people like this

"So how's your day going?"I asked

"Good how about you"he replied

"Just ready to go home"I said not realizing what I said. Aswell as not realizing Rick and Ashley were behind me and chuckling at my mistake

Pryce shook his head before storming off, I followed close behind he went and opened the back of his truck getting in I followed him in

"Pryce I'm sorry"I said

"Your with them?"he asked

"No"I said shaking my head

"I'm sorry It's just they always give me trouble"he said looking down

"It's fine"I smiled

"Thanks"he smiled he noticed me looking around at his living condition

"Let me guess Your wondering why I live in here when I have such a well paying job huh"he said calmly

"Well"I simply said

"My mother has a mental disorder so in in order for her to have a nice living environment and get the car she needs, I gotta make sure Almost every penny I make goes to the hospital"

"Wow"I said    

"I know I know"he said looking down

"Your so amazing"I smiled causing him to look up surprised

Money isn't everything and don't judge people based on what you think you know.
