"Mr. Diamond!"
I open my eyes. I am lying on a comfortable couch in a modern furnished office. The Doctor is sitting behind a desk smiling at me yet with some concern in his eyes.
I sit up anxiously looking around me and then at my body. No restraints, no blood, no candles.
"You must have dozed off," the Doctor whispers. "Is everything alright?"
"But you were holding me hostage! You hurt me!"
"Now, now Mr. Diamond. It is very natural to be confused and disoriented from the hypnosis. I assure you that no one has hurt you in any way." He smiles.
"So it was a dream? There are no dimensions?"
"Dimensions? What dimensions? We are just trying some hypnotherapy to explore your subconscious. So tell me... What did you learn?"
I look at my unbruised wrists and touch my lips softly waiting to feel pain and see blood. Nothing. I relax.
"Nothing and no one is as it seems," I reply."We are sometimes quick to judge situations and people but most of the times the problem is not the person or the circumstance .The problem is the perspective. And for my perspective it is only I who am to blame."
"Good." he exclaimed. He raised his pocket watch in front of my eyes and started swinging it slowly.
I swear I could smell cigar in his breath.
