The problems of being a neko....

Blueberry's point of view:
It was a warm Sunday evening. I am sat on the swings of my favourite park. The swings looked out onto a valley of houses and streets. Each house had its own little lights on as the sun behind them set. I normally only come to the park if am bored. And that is rare seeing as I am always out looking for butterflies to catch!! I guess you could call it a hobby of mine!! Anyway I gently swing as a warm breeze rushes around me. Causing the fluff of my baby blue cat ears and tail to sway about quickly.

Oh yeah!! I forgot to mention I'm part cat!! My brother is too but he doesn't like being a Neko. I have light blue ears and a light blue tail with white stripes running horizontal down it. They stop just before the bottom making them look like stalagtites. The only problem with my ears and tail are that they are so fluffy. So fluffy that one might say fluffier then clouds to describe them!! That makes it hard for me to go swimming or take showers. So pretty much everyday my morning routine is a struggle. Anyway back to today!!

As I swing I don't notice the footsteps of a group of people approaching me. In fact I don't notice them until one of them sits on the swing next to me. They look at me strangely before a few more people gather around the swings I am sitting on. I look down. I don't want them to talk to me. All i want to do is swing. Swing and look out at the sunset. "H-hi!!!" I say nervously. One of them is looking directly at my ears which have now flattened in worry. "Well well well...what do we have here." I hear one say. Not this again. I always get weird looks in public because of my ears and tail. This sometimes causes normal humans to pick on me. I tend to not get bothered by them but it really upsets me. "I think we got a pussy here mates!!" I hear the rough voice of a male. "I-I'm a Neko...not a pussy." I mutter. Suddenly someone from behind me grabs me by my scarf and lifts me in the air. I dangle uselessly. "Shut it cat!!" The person holding me yells in my delicate ears. I wince. The leader of the group a tall girl with curly short red hair steps forward. She looks at me in disgust. "So you think you can just waltz up here and steal MY swing??" Her voice is high pitch. Even for a girl. "I am so sorry!! I didn't know it was yours!! I'll leave if you want!!" I say louder then I thought it would be. She sniggers. "Oh I don't think so!! You think your so smart because your different. Well in reality your just a no good, stupid..."Don't say it don't say it. That's all I think as she leans in and says,"freak" as soon as the words leave her mouth I am tearing up. "Ohh is the pussy crying??" Mocked a young man in the crowd. Suddenly, the man holding me dropped me onto the floor. The group began closing in on me. Tears stream down my face as I curl up into a ball. Preparing for the pain. Suddenly someone kicks me. Hard. I let out a cry of pain as more people begin kicking me. A small group of girls began punching me as well. I tremble as I hear many insults yelled in my face. I close my eyes. I wish this was over!! I wish the ground would swallow me up whole and never let go of me. I begin to imagine this. Me tumbling down a dark hole. Seeing the light disappear into the blackness. Maybe I'll see it again. Maybe I won't. It's only then that I realise that I had blacked out.
