Chapter 1

Alfie's POV
I woke up at around 9ish and went downstairs. My eyes met Zoe as she was making breakfast for me and her.
"Morning, gorgeous!" I said to her as I looked at her beautiful face concentrating on the breakfast. She turned around to look at me. Zoe pecked me on the lips and said, "Morning, Mr SleepyHead!"
"It's not that late!" I looked at my watch and saw that it was 9:45.
"Told you! I got up at around 8 because Nala wanted to go for a wee. It your turn tomorrow!" she said to me, playfully angrily.

Zoe's POV
I looked at Alfie as he looked at his watch to see what the time was. I had to take Nala out for a wee and he was asleep all the way through and I fed her, took her out and gave her a bath. Suddenly, my phone buzzed and I looked at it to see Mark's name.

Can I come round soon because I've missed you and Alfie? And of course little Nala! Please? 🤔🙏

"Can Mark come round for a week or two because he said that he misses us?" I asked Alfie, praying that he'll say yes.
"Course he can. He's our friend! said, Alfie, whilst looking at his phone.
"Thanks, Alf! I love you!" I gave him a peck on the nose and ran upstairs to sort out the guest room.

Alfie's POV
Zoe had just asked me if Mark can come round for a week or two. I was so annoyed because Zoe always spends more time with him than me! It's always Mark this, Mark that with Zoe. I couldn't say no though because it would just make Zoe unhappy and all I want to do is make Zoe happy. I'm going to make sure that Zoe spends time with me more than Mark...
