I never had a name...my parents were killed a few days after I was born in a horrible place...all I can remember is my mother feeding me some strange fruit. After that. I was locked away in a cell where I watched people freeze to death while I staye...
I sat quietly next to Rin. I took notice that he was starting to freeze. "Rin... Are you going to leave me as well?" I asked sadly. Rin looked over at me and scoffed a giant smile on his face. "Now why would I leave you? Don't go thinking that Baka!" He yelled.
I glanced over at him and frowned putting my head between my knees. "..." I said nothing. After a while I heard someone start to open the cell. I looked up only to see two guards toss in a boy who was covered in a purple liquid. "Poison." I whispered.
The guards laughed as they walked off. I stared at the boy silently listening as he gasped for air. "..." I said nothing as I slowly stood up causing Rin to look up at me. "Huh? Where are you going Yu?" He asked. I said nothing as I silently walked over to the boy.
"..." I kneeled down next to him and examined his body. 'He looks like he's in so much pain.' I thought sadly. I slowly lifted my hands over him. 'I'll get rid of all this purple gunk.' I thought closing my eyes and taking in a deep breath. "Cold freeze." I whispered.
I watched as the poison covering his body started to harden as my hands glowed a slight white. Once I saw that it was all frozen I slowly and carefully started to rip it off the boy's body. "There's no point kid you're wasting your time." Someone said.
I ignored them as I finished taking all of it off. Once done i noticed the boy started to breath slightly better. "..." I stood back up and went over to Rin. I sat down quietly. "Why'd you do that?" He asked glancing over at me. "I don't know." I whispered. Rin hummed.
I looked down at the ground my eyes narrowing. 'He has a lot of poison in his system...so much I don't think he'll live long...just what happened to him?' I thought. "Yu?" Rin asked flicking my forehead. "Hmm?" I asked looking up at him. He scowled. "That kid. He's not gonna make it is he?" He asked.
I looked over at the boy and sighed quietly. "No. He'll die soon." I whispered.
~time skip~
I woke up to the sound of someone smashing into the cell bars. I looked over only to see the boy who was poisoned angrily smashing into the bars. "What is he doing?" I asked glancing over at Rin. "Not really sure. The brat keeps mumbling something about saving his brother or something like that."
I looked over at the boy silently. "Haaaa!" He yelled running into the bars. 'Fool. You'll only make your condition worse.' I thought. "I've gotta save ace!" The boy yelled. My eyes widen slightly. 'This boy...' I thought watching as the boy kept going.
'Is just like that man...who gave me my name.' I thought. A memory from when I was little flashed before me.
~flashback~
I sat in the cell quietly as I drew small designs in the snow around me. "Get in there!" I heard some guards yell. "Wow now! Easy there pales! Watch it!" I heard someone yell. I looked up and saw a man. 'Hmm? They finally put someone in my cell?' I thought tilting my head.
The man sighed as he rubbed his head. "Well damn. Looks like I'm stuck here." He said. "..." I said nothing as I just stared at him. "Hmm?" He hummed looking over at me. He blinked a few times before jumping back falling on his butt. "Wow! What's a kid doing here?!" He shouts surprised.
"..." I didn't say anything. He stood back up and walked over to me. "Hmm? Tell me kid what's someone like you doing here?" He asked tilting his head. I looked at him silently. "Hello???" He asked waving a hand out in front of me.
I didn't say anything still. The man sighed as he closed his eyes. "At least tell me your name kid." He mumbled. "Name?" I asked quietly. His eyes shot open and he smiled at me. "Hey! You finally spoke!" He cheered happily. I looked at him. "What's a name?" I ask tilting my head.
He looks at me surprised. "Don't tell me you don't have a name!" He cries. I nod my head. "I can't believe it! Your parents should at least give you a name!" He yelled. "My parents were killed a few days after I was born. Momma gave me a devil fruit so the cold doesn't affect me." I said.
"Wait...are you trying to say you've been locked up here your whole life?" He asked. I nod. He doesn't say anything as he just looks at me sadly. "I see." He takes a seat next to me and sighs. "Well then. Let's see what am I going to call you?" I asked himself humming slightly.
I looked at him confused. "You're going to give me a name?" I asked. He smiled at me. "Yeah! After all everyone deserves a name!" He cheered. I just watched as he sat there in thought trying to figure out what to call me. "Hmm...Yuki? Nah...but wait...Yuki.... Ki...Yu...I've got it!" He yelled.
"I'll call you Yu!" He cheered happily. I looked at him surprised. "What do you think?!" He asked happily. "Yu...I like it." I whispered quietly a small blush on my cheeks. The man smiled a bright smile as he placed a hand on my head. "Well Yu my name is Dorin!" He said with a bright smile.

I looked at him silently. "Hello Dorin." I said softly.
From that day on Dorin would always tell me about the outside world. He always seemed to make me smile and laugh...but...one day...he just disappeared.
"COME ON! SOMEONE SAVE YU! I HAVE TO SAVE HER!"

"I'VE COME TO SAVE YOU STRAW BOY!" I heard someone yell. My eyes went wide as I quickly looked outside the cell only to see a man who was half naked standing there with keys in his hand. I looked over at the boy.
