Digimon Frontier 2 : Hope Arising

Prologue

Kouji narrowed his eyes as he looked around his surroundings. Beside him, Kouichi groaned as he tried to stand up. It's been two years ever since they saved the Digital World with their friends, as the DigiDestined. Many things have changed, but that didn't hurt their bond of friendship.

"Kouji?" asked Kouichi, still struggling to stand up. "Where are we? I thought we were at home."

"Same here," grumbled Kouji as he helped his brother. He took another look at his surroundings. "It looks familiar, though....."

Kouichi nodded, then jumped as a scream filled the air. Kouji quickly turned around, and got into a fighting stance. The twins glared at the place where the scream came from. Kouichi began to relax again, but jumped once more as another scream filled the air, this time with "Help me!".

Kouji sprinted towards the scream, with Kouichi close on his tracks. They stopped when they both reached a clearing. A girl, by the looks of it, was being held down by none other than the nightmare of the Digital World, Lucemon.

Lucemon glanced at the twins. "Oh, it's you."

"Lucemon!" snarled Kouji. "Let that girl go!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that."

"Why not?" demanded Kouichi.

The dark Angel Digimon smirked. "Well, this girl here is part of the Legendary Warriors, of course. But, she is going to be rather useful."

"Let me go!!" spat the girl, glaring at him. "I did nothing to you!"

"You did nothing, and yet, you did everything, Legendary Warrior of the element, Aura. You have powers that can nearly destroy the darkness, and yet, your powers can help it. Either you help me, or I force you to."

The girl's dark blue eyes widened with fear and she began struggling. Kouichi noticed something different, though. She looked a lot like him and Kouji, but she was a girl, not a boy. Kouichi shook his head and ran towards Lucemon.

"Stop hurting her!" Kouichi shouted, slamming his body against Lucemon. Kouji blinked, and wondered how did his brother got there so fast, but shrugged it off, and ran to help the girl. The girl was on her legs before he even got there and delivered a kick towards Lucemon.

Lucemon dodged it, and threw Kouichi off. The teen hit the ground, rubbing his head. The Angel Digimon flew off, before they could processed what happened. The girl turned to them and muttered, "Thanks."

"No problem," answered Kouichi, getting back on his feet, "um....."

"Kinu, Kinu Kimura."

"You're welcome, Kinu," smiled Kouji, before he even realised what Kinu said. "Wait.....Kimura?"

"That's right." Kinu tilted her head. "Why?"

"Can we meet somewhere?" asked Kouichi, avoiding the topic.

Kinu looked confused. "Sure, I guess......where?"

"Shibuya Train Station, near the ticket place."

"Alright, I'll meet you there." With that, the girl disappeared. Kouji and Kouichi blinked. That's more to this girl than meet the eye.
