"Kaycie!" I hear my mom scream from downstairs. I decide to ignore the next five times she calls my name.

"Wake the fuck up and get ready." she says harshly as she barges into my room.

"Can't I just sleep and skip school today?" I plead from under my covers.

"No, it's your first day, and I don't care how lazy you are, your going."

"I'm not Lazy!!" I yell.

"Prove it!" she says before she slams the door.

"Bitch move," I mutter before throwing off my blanket and sitting up.

"And she turned the lights on..." I say sighing letting my eyes adjust to the lights that are way brighter than my old room. I glance at my phone and and see I have some messages. I'm exited until I see that their from my mom saying to "WAKE YOUR ASS UP OR I'LL WAKE YOU UP!!" which explains alot.

"Oh yeah, I don't have any friends." I say sighing. I do have friends, they either hate me now or just don't care anymore.

I slide out of bed and walk to the bathroom to take a shower. The sweet scent of my shampoo and body wash soon fill the room. As soon as I step out of the warm shower I shiver, and reach for the towel to cover myself with. I go into my dresser and randomly pull out a pair of jean short shorts, a green tank top, and grey hoodie. After I put on my clothes I went back to the bathroom to dry and straiten my hair. After that I put on my usual makeup, which includes dark mascara and eyeliner, sometimes with smokey eyes. It's no wonder people say I'm no good. I finish off the look with some bright pink lipstick. Some people say I wear too much makeup, and that it annoys them, but I wear it for that reason. It really brings out people who are carefree and like to express themselves.

I walk down to the kitchen to eat some breakfast, but we're out of food again.

"Dad were out of food!" I yell. My dad walks into the room. He is actually sober today. It must be his weekly trip to the liquor store, and I hope he won't forget to get actual food this time.

"I'll get some when I go to the store later." he says walking to the fridge and pulling out a beer.

"You really shouldn't drink and drive."

"You really shouldn't be wearing all of that makeup, and maybe you should try getting some friends."

"I have friends!"

"What are they're names?"

"Your like this even when your not on a drunken rampage!!" I yell pissed off as I grab my phone, my backpack, and put on my shoes.

"You can not talk to me like that." my dad growls.

"You can't make that decision, you've never been there for me! You Love your liquor more than anything!" I yell.

"I don't love liquor, and I love your mom very much. I just don't love the child that came out of her."

"You married a Slut! She got pregnant at 16!"

"Don't talk about your mother that way!"

"She's sleeping with other guys anyways. It probably because she married you too early in her life!"

"I mean it!"

"Your lucky your the father! With all the guys she was sleeping with, I heard her and her friend talking about it!"

"Shut the fuck up!" He screams as he slaps me with enough force to make me fall on the floor. "Leave, get out of my house until you have some respect for me and your mother."

"Fine." I say as I open and slam the floor behind me. I hold back my tears as I walk towards my bus stop. on the way I walk past moms car parked outside of her "coworker" Tim's house.

"Yeah, your totally working, just not on what dad thinks." I mumble to myself.

I hold my left cheek the rest of the way to the bus. There was no one there yet so I quickly covered up the mark the slap left, and finished just as the bus pulled up.

"And you must be Kaycie Kaywood!" the bus driver said as the bus doors opened.

"Y-y-yes." I say slightly stuttering with nervousness.

"Well hop on in! It must be cold wearing those shorts this close to winter." she said laughing.

"I really don't have any pants." I say as I get on the bus. I walk to the back and sit down. A few people tried to talk to me, but I just ignored them.

I could only think about my old school, and how my mom made our family move from a cozy warm climate, to this freezing one with her new job. She's a personal trainer. Who and with what she trains isn't hard to figure out, but dad is completely oblivious.

At my old school I didn't have many friends. Only my three best friends Fiona, Leah, and Sydney. We hung out all the time. But me and Sydney got in a fight, Fiona took her side, and Leah followed. Leaving me a Loner for Three months except one person none of them knew about. My Boyfriend Kyle, But when I told him I had to move away, he told me he can't do long distance relationships, so he dumped me.

I stopped thinking about it all just before we pulled up to the school. the bus pulled to a halt and the doors opened. I started walking to the doors of the school as quick as I could because I could feel the stares of strangers. Strangers that would soon be my classmates, and the idea of it overwhelmed me. I then thought that I could just lay low, but being a new student, it's almost impossible to lay low.
