Chapter 3

---1 Month Later---

----Kazuto's POV----

I sat up in bed feeling a sharp pain in my stomach, I looked down at the scar left on my stomach, I looked at the time, it read 2:14am, I then looked out the window to see once again the red blinking lights that came from the enormous aircraft that hovers above Japan, what did we do to deserve such disaster? Many of Tokyo's buildings have been destroyed, there are these aircrafts hovering above every country in the world, all the countries have set aside their differences and decided to unite into one enormous army to try to defeat these things
Though so far we haven't gotten anywhere, every fighter jet we send to the aircrafts are all shot down, we've decided that the Midtown Tower in Tokyo will be our main HQ, Yes it may be one of the tallest buildings in Japan and that may be a bad thing but we have developed Force fields that surround the building and advanced weaponry and defenses such as laser defence systems and advanced penetration bullets or APB's, we developed APB's for every type of gun whether its a Glock 19 or a M14 Carbine, these bullets have a 100% chance to penetrate the enemies armor, the APB's are able to penetrate steel

I went back to my bed and looked over at Asuna, I won't let anything happen to her, I will protect her even if it costs my life (yea there still dating in this fanfic lol), I lay back down next to her and slowly fall asleep

---next morning---

I woke up to my phone ringing, I answered it "Kazuto! Get over here now!, the enemies launched an Assault force!" Kota yelled, I heard gun fire in the background, "alright, I'm on my way" I said getting on my armor and boots, I hurried and got Asuna up and told her what was happening "shit, we need to get going then" she said as she got her armor and boots on, we got on my motorcycle and raced down the streets of Tokyo until we got to our destination

They were on a small building roof defending against the Alien enimies that were firing from a slightly higher building, I pulled up my ACR and began firing at the aliens, they noticed me and one of them began shooting at me and Asuna, we ran behind cover and waited for a moment, we then ran to the ladder that lead to the rooftop that our Team was on, we got behind cover, "Try not to get shot!" I shouted to the others, "alright!" They shouted back, though Kota was the leader of the Assault Team I still acted as one, I saw a sniper aiming at what seemed to be in Asunas direction, I ran and tackled her out of the way of the bullet and we dove behind cover, "thank you Kazuto!" She cried, I wiped her tears away, "stay focused on the battle" I kissed her and ran back to my original spot, "if you have grenades use them!" Kota yelled, we all pulled out a grenade and pulled the pin and tossed them at the enemies, they exploded and we heard one of them shriek

"Yea! Take that you alien freaks!" Klein yelled, we all got up and started spraying bullets at the enemy, o then saw one of the heads of the aliens explode, "what the..." I mumbled then I looked back and saw what seemed like light shining off of glass, "Shino.....thank you" I mumbled then ducked
"Guys...we need to go, NOW" Kota yelled, "why?" I asked, I looked up and saw enemy reinforcements coming in, "we'll be out numbered, go!" Kota yelled, we all got on our motorcycles and sped off, I looked over and saw Maya, she was looking behind her, she was on the same motorcycle as Kota, he accidentally hit a curb and the bike flew in the air, he grabbed Maya and pulled her close to him, preventing her from hitting the pavement of the street

----Maya's POV----

I was looking behind me at the aliens chasing us, then out if no where I flew off the motorcycle and Kota pulled me close and his back hit the pavement, I was laying on the ground unable to move for some reason, I saw Kota get up and pick me up and put me on the motorcycle, I saw a glimmer of light on a building, no....there can't be a enemy sniper can there? Please no

Kota set me down on the motorcycle. "Everything's gonna be o-" A bullet shot through the right side of his chest, he fell to the ground, within seconds he was surrounded by a pool of blood, "NO! Kota! Don't die on me! Your all I have left of our family! Please don't go!" I cried on my knees next to him, "go, get out of here, you must live, everything will be ok" he stuttered, "but how? I'll have nothing" I cried, "I'll always be with you, even if I'm not alive, it will be ok....I Love You Sis" he said as he closed his eyes, no...he can't be gone, first my father, then my mother, and now Kota, I have nothing left, Kazuto grabbed me and set me down behind Asuna and we drove off, I looked back to see Kazuto picking up the other Motorcycle and speeding away from the aliens

Why...why did this have to happen
