My heart beats with yours,
you lay down as I start to hum.
I feel your heart against my chest,
my saviour, my life, a gentle thrum.
Hours of sleep have been lost,
you see my face in your head.
Luckily I have the pleasures, Darling,
of watching you rest in bed.
Oh, my darling;
maybe I'm there, maybe I'm not.
Daily wonders of yours,
shoved away by a single thought.
Sleep may seem far from your reach,
but close your eyes and dream of good things.
I promise I'll stay with you forever,
listening as the angel sings.
Please close your eyes,
and get some rest.
I promise I'll be here love,
but sleep is for the best.
My love my heart my whole,
I love you with everything I give.
But please, Darling, try,
you won't regret it if you live.
