AKIYO'S POV
The sunrise was gold as wheat in the field ready for harvest. The ants were on their feet marching to hunt foods. I can smell bacon from the kitchen. A breakfast with love.
I got up from my bed to take a shower. The coldness of water was like a snow of winter. I fixed my self for today.
Wearing my Law uniform, I entered the dining room. She's on her white dress with her favorite flower on her hair. She looks lovely.
I hugged her from the back."I love you mom" I whispered.
She just smiled and pointed on the chair at the table, I obey her like a dog following the command of his master.
After breakfast I bid goodbye to her and headed for school. I'm on my 5th year.
After class, I was surprised to see dad outside the school. His car was like giving me a warning look."Son!" He waved as I take some steps towards him.
"Hey dad" I said, giving him a hug.
"I have a dinner meeting today. Come with me" he speak with authority. He's a lawyer I know.
"But dad I have to--" he really likes to cut my words. His manner was on his pocket.
"No buts akiyo. Someday, you'll be like me. You need to observe. Now son, get in" .
Well, he's the boss.
Dad has driven almost half an hour. The car was parked in a huge parking lot of a white mansion at St. Francis village Silay City.
A man with a respectful aura welcomed us to his home.
I watched the two men exchanging vows and shaking hands, waiting for them to notice me.
"Ah, Martin, this is Akiyo my son, Akiyo, this is Martin Barrameda my friend and a fellow lawyer" dad said finally.
The man lend me his hand and I reached for it."Nice meeting you Akiyo" He said with a little british accent.
"Same to you sir" I answered.
The man was kind and nice. After dinner, he told me to visit their library. He said I'll have some good time with books. Well, he's probably right. I just smiled when he gave me the direction.
I never wasted the moment so I struggled with my black leather shoes towards the library.
The silence was like speaking to me. Telling me something. A tale? I don't know.
After a few minutes walk, I found my self inside a huge room containing more than a hundred bookshelves. I want to cry because of the amazement. My thoughts were flying as if they had wings. This is a glimps of heaven.
"Don't move"
I felt something like a sharp metal at my back. Waiting for the exact moment to eat my flesh, it made my two hands float in the air without any effort like an astronaut outside the universe.
"I'm no harm" I tried to sound normal.
"Turn around and don't try to put your hands down" She commanded.
A girl. Her voice was like a sound of piano, singing a sweet melody that will make you look back in your childhood days.
I turn around. Slowly, paying attention in every steps I take.
Our eyes met. Her sea colored eyes was like telling me about a long lost love. The most beautiful girl I have ever seen.
The scissor in her hand fell on the floor. I saw horror on her face."Akiyo?" Her voice cracked. Seems like she saw the most terrible thing in the world.
"How did you know me?" I asked.
"Stay away from me please. Leave this house now!!"
"Hey, did I do something wrong?"
"Leave!" She pointed at the door.
I really don't understand. Did I bullied her during my childhood?
"My father was here with sir Martin. The owner of this house" I explained.
" I don't care! Don't show your face here! Stay away from my father" she speaks like I brought danger.
"Miss,----"
"Just go!!"
I have no other choice than to leave the library.
Her rudeness . Her eyes. Her fear when she saw me makes me wonder. I should know. I should know what's behind everything. I know I'll discover something. I just have to know her more.
