This is the third night. I've had enough. It will start around 10:00. I am trembling with with fear and anticipation, but I feel as if I'm becoming too attached. The powerful wave of fatigue hits me. I drown deeper and deeper in the familiar dream. The same dream I had yesterday and the day prior.

He's here.... I can sense him. His tall frame deep red eyes gazing into mine. There is no hesitation with his moves. In brief seconds his limber form is above mine. I feel like I'm in another dimension. He devours me. My every desire. Uncontainable emotions erupt and I am trapped. He doesn't stop his proclamation of love. More likely lust than love, but a boy can dream can't he?

I'm jolted awake. Intense rays of sun stream alien beads of light on the hardwood. Me? I'm still panting from the "dream". But really, this can't just be some dream, it's much too intense to be a dream. The feeling too so raw. So unimaginably real, that I can't help but wonder if there is some kind of out of body thing going on. I looked it up in the local library the morning after the first night. I typed in "lifelike dreams" and pages upon pages of astral projection hyperlinks appeared. Then this lead to lucid dreaming. But the descriptions didn't really seem to correlate to my dreams.

I rise out of the tangled mess of sheets and glance at the my wall clock 9:47. Well it's almost summer vacation. I really don't have anything to do. I'll visit Sam aka "Ava" at the shop, and maybe she can help me out with this problem. After my morning routine I hopped on my old Schwinn classic and petaled down to The Sun and Moon Magick store. I've been working there part time for awhile now. The store has what's to be expected. Gemstones, herbs, and various books explaining the dead and other phenomenon. On Wednesdays and Fridays Sam gives readings. Most people don't believe that psychics are ledgitamate, and most of them aren't, but Sam really does have a gift.

I walked in the store and spotted Sam conversing with a costumer. The customer then departed out of the store.

"Were closing early today." She spoke. She wore her usual earthtone skirt and her hair was wild with an assortment of feathers and braids.

"Why?"

"I have to go to a reading" She spoke in her usual carefree tone.

"Oh." I mumbled. "Hey I gotta ask you something important."

"Alright..ask away."

"Well...I've been having these dreams and I know there not lucid. I had this same dream at least three times in a row now. There's this same man...His eyes are red and he..uhm...let's just say.. he has his way with me. It's not just like a..you know.. a wet dream. I.... feel it." As these words flew out of my mouth I'm embarrassed and flustered, as if just speaking of the dreams would conjure it up.

"It's an Incubus." She responded.

"Care to explain?" I asked worriedly

"An Incubus is a sex demon that feeds off of your energy, but contrary to popular belief Incubus can protect you and even become your companion. They usually appear to people who are sexually deprived or lonely."

"...So what you're saying is there is a demon in my dreams that..does that..to me." I gawked.

"He is in your dreams now but he may appear on the human plane."

"How can I get rid of it...er... him."

"Oh the process is very difficult, and the Incubus also has to oblige in order for separation."

"What do I do Sam?" I felt blood drain from my face.

"Well there are rituals you can do. When did this first start happening" she asked

"Like about two days ago!" I shrieked

"Well if you choose that you don't want him to be with you, you need to ask him in your dreams before he appears to you." She then walked the the backroom of the store and minutes later comes back with the book of shadows. Quickly she flips through the weathered pages and stops on one page. "Use this." She marks the book and slides it across the wooden desk towards me. She then grabs a black plastic grocery bag and expertly selects the required herbs and gems for the ritual.

"Try your best to contain him. Be respectful and kind." She then paused and moved her mouth as if she was going to say something.

"What?" I mused

"From the way you describe him..he doesn't seem like the typical Incubus. Normally Incubus tire out the host and toy with them emotionally during early stages. The one you're talking about is kind enough not to do so yet" She said.

"Well thank you Sam." I grab the bag and the book and leave the store. I hopped on my bike and threw the stuff in the rusty wire basket. I petaled in the hot sun towards my house, my mind blustering.

There is a demon..in my house.. This sentence startled me. My mind couldn't even fully comprehend the severity of the statement. Ever since I was a young boy I had the gift of seeing. I always saw ghosts, but they never scared me. Most seemed to protect me from something. I could never see what they were shielding me from. The memory that I could never forget was when I was twelve years old. Joseph was a ghost in my previous home. He was seventeen and we were like friends. One night I feel asleep and Joseph woke me up. I remember seeing his frightened expression, he held me close and glared at the my room door. He kept on mumbling something that sounded like Latin. I remember straining my eyes to look at what Joseph saw, but saw nothing.

I reached my small apartment and locked up my bike in the garage and grabbed the bag. I climbed up the stairs hesitantly expecting to see something. There's no need to be scared Ian. He's only in your dreams. Well so far..

I walked into the bathroom and took off my sweaty tee shirt and threw it in the hamper then peeled off my skinnies. After a quick shower I hesitantly walked into my room. I glanced around spotting nothing out of the ordinary.

I went to the closet a grabbed a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. I slipped on the pants, and felt two warm hands wrap around my waist.
